Day 8 - The Dream-Catcher

Not awake nor asleep

But somehow I keep

Track of the hours

That go by towers

Of pre-planned alarms.

A sleep that charms

The mind into wake-

-ful uncertainty, ach-

-ing to know whether

It’s dark here, leather

Eyelids, heavy, thick,

Unmoving but quick,

Prevent the body

From seeing. Audi-

-ble sounds all mix

Together and trick

The real and fictional

Into sameness, depiction’ll

Change when in that

State of mind, a batt-

-le betwixt your fears

And your wants, years

Of thoughts together

Will change whether

You want to stay alseep,

You must chose, reap

The rewards or faults

That come. They halt

The happenings here

In your place, where

You may be flying,

A superhero trying

To save the day

WIth friends, Say-

-int how the world

Is good, all pearls

And gold and luck

From triumph at once;

Or you may be the dunce

Of the day, may be

Embarrased or see

Illy of a large place

You’d rather race

Away from, terrified

Or saddened, tears cried

For want of leave-

This all to be sheathed

When you wake up.

That was a build-up

In a dream, that is

The beauty of it, this

State of sumber

Makes you wonder

What’s real until you

Are in your bed, still

Discombobulated, it

Fades from memory, bit

At your emotions when

It was gone again. And then

The day starts once more,

And you wonder what for,

You realize, very keen;

It must only have been a dream.

~~~ I like this better than I thought I would. I mean, considering that it was supposed to be about dream catchers and I made it about dreams in general, it’s okay XD But I do like it. Quick and a little nonsensical, I think I did pretty well for having spent only like, 10 minutes on it XD

My reactions the entire time at Dreamland Arts and Cafe.

You’ll fall in love with the colorful interior + the different kinds of dreamcatchers. Each dreamcatcher is handmade and unique, no design is reused. The place was so nice, it was designed to be a very laid back place. They even have board games like “Sungka” a filipino “board” game and many more. They also have an open mic, guitars, tambourines and such. The breeze of the Tagaytay air completed the essence of serenity of the cafe.

This is definitely a piece of heaven for dreamcatcher lover like me!

With Love Alicia .. Two feathers

So  decided to take myself off to  Brighton for the day and connect with a large body of water ( it is said when holding on to pain or hurt,allowing the sea to take it away by sitting next to it and visualize the hurt leaving you and being taken away in the waves  is healing to ones being   ) and look what beautiful treasure  found me , This little  store that   specialises in handmade  Native American jewellery, drums, crafts, and collectibles.  On entering the store I forgot that I was in the middle of Brighton , I felt like I  had walked back in time , it was so authentic. The smells of sage and lemongrass were so distinct,  the dreamcatchers Kachina dolls and drums,  crafted so beautifully and skillfully by the  Navajo 

This little shop of beautiful surprises  is  definitely a place to visit the next time you end up  Brighton
