hi i just recently found your blog but I couldn't help but notice in your drawing of you drumming you're using traditional grip. I assume that's what you use irl and it makes me pretty curious to how you got into drumming like marching, jazz, or just prefer the look? Super cool work btw keep it up!

I got into drumming in late middle school and high school. I was taught traditional grip from that and it's stuck ever since. I've tried match grip, but it just feels weird to me now.

Sorting my drum samples right now and I'm starting to discover the philosophy that there's plenty of fish in the sea in terms of sounds.

Like, if I sort of like a drum sound but I'm not 100% sure about it, I should just delete it. I'm probably never going to use it anyway and there's probably a drum sample in my library that sounds just like it but is a lot crisper and clearer and I'll just end up using that one.

Plus it'll be a lot easier to find that sample without all of these other shitty samples to sift through because I kept them just in case I might use them in the future.
