An eastbound, headed towards the Flint yard

Here was an eastbound freight headed towards the Flint Michigan yard. After that I am not sure where it was heading. As you can see, all the train nuts were waiting for this one. There are more behind me, as you will see in the last pic.

This is one of the few places I know of where you can be this close to a moving train.

Being this close gives you an idea of how enormous these locomotives are.

It was an enjoyable day.

A GTW extra west has dropped a setoff in the north set off track east of the Depot in Durand, Michigan and moves west of the diamond for it's pickup with it's single SD40 and late 50's steel caboose 79063 - February 9, 1974.
