Something I've been thinking about and I assume this is going to be a hot take but I prefer the TADC Dutch dub to the original!
I have different examples for this but one of them is that I think Jax's voice fits them a lot better and makes them sound a lot more sympatic. They come across as younger and a lot spunkier, more like an edgy teenager than a problematic grown adult.
And it makes me think that I might've liked Jax's character a lot more if they were written as a teenager, at least I think it makes a lot of sense for their behavior and personality (also them being one of the few without job and still living with their parents), and I think it could make for some interesting dynamics!
Pomni could feel more like an older sister type, feeling responsible for the wellbeing of the youngest member of the circus and wanting to take them under her wing. Ragatha would've tried the same but feel really bad and guilty for having failed this. Gangle's dynamic with them I think would read more as a student bullying their teacher (of course some things would have to be rewritten btw) but I think it would add some interesting nuance, and Zooble would be the one to call them out on their bullshit and be more strict with them.
Again, some things would definitely have to be reworked but I think more diverse ages would be so interesting, add to the found family vibes, would work in favor of Jax's character and yeah I just think the idea is neat. I've been thinking about the potential a lot. Feel free to share your thoughts
