It was an exciting night and it wasn’t just the dance and the fireworks. No, For -A there a different king of thrill in the air. This would be their first kill. They had studied and studied for all of this. To take over from Jamie Kirk. To become the next -A. The new big bad. And now the moment was finally here. It had finally come. They had to get it just right.

It was at the end of the night that they went for it. The clock struck midnight and they whipped their trusty phone out, sending Gary Flynn a few messages. All they had to do was threaten his pathetic kid and tell him, finally, that they had a way for him to get him off the list and he’d come running. People were so predictable, it was almost laughable really. They watched from the sidelines and honestly... they understood the thrill. They had understood it when they’d caught Jamie Kirk red-handed and followed him around without him knowing. The big bad outsmarted from the sidelines.

The fireworks were going off when they had him alone. He had been fairly useless lately in helping to find them or keep Baberton safe. Maybe they should start taking out the cops one by one but that was risky and wasn’t the plan. Starting with Gary worked for now. It left Kyle Flynn, Annie’s old flame, with no parents at all, Pippa Hamilton’s blossoming relationship in the dirt, and meant Gary would never get to know his grandson like he really wanted. Boo, hoo.

He would serve as a beacon. A warning. A confirmation. Everything really has started all over again. Those texts are no joke. There’s another killer loose in Baberton.

The gun went off as they came up on him from behind him, the bang covered by the sound of the fireworks going off all around them. That gun Angel Frazier had buried sure came in handy. They would re-bury it in the spot in the woods... but not before they used it for their next one. There was some anxiety with this being the first. If they screwed this up and got caught, or it didn’t work properly, they could be ID’d and everything would be ruined before it even started. Luckily... Gary never saw it coming.

First kill down... plenty more to come.
