In 2025, Management once again approached The Shaft & Crown to design a whimsical reward for miners participating in the Great Egg Hunt. In years passed, our millinery has produced such iconic looks as the Basket Case and Egg Shell on Your Head, but this year we wanted to create something a little more understated and approachable for the traditional dwarf.
We weren't sure how to approach this at first; helmets are the purview of the Department of Cranial Equipment, not two dwarves who refused to leave the drop pod on their first mission who were nimble with a needle a thread.
It wasn't until one drunken evening of crafting when Brimhilde haphazardly slapped on bunny ears and chicks onto a cowboy hat and screamed, "Yahoo buckaroo!" that we realized the perfect hat was equal parts Easter and Outback.
The chicks are made of felted web spitter particulate that have been dyed a soft yellow using acid spitter phlegm and Kursite powder.
We hope you enjoy this hat and future designs by The Shaft & Crown. Rock and Stone, pardner! ⛏️🤠
Check out my tiny baskets for Easter and Spring decor! The made cute gifts too!

Every year even before I was born my family has always made a bunny cake. This is the 2026 one I made all by myself. Sorry for the messy photo but it’s the best one I got
Hand-Painted Unique Easter Decoration Gift Idea
various kinds to pick from: eggs, chicks, sheep and bunnies
materials used: original plywood cut outs, acrylic paints (regular and metallic), diamonds (like in diamond paintings) and glossy varnish
Easter Bunnyt (bunny bonnet)
I used some thin foam for a base and stitched some paper twine to make the ear patch, the second one went much faster after I figured out what I was doing… and realised I could coil the twine onto tape and stitch the whole thing at once instead of every two-three rows.
The patch was stitched to the ear only around the edge row, then I cut out some felt to cover the ears, stitching the edge of the felt to the edge of the pink.
Realised after the second one I probably should have left the felt whole and sewn the pink to the felt.
The felt layer of the cap was cut where the ears would meet the base, and the excess pink stitched under the felt to hold their place, the excess felt of the ears was stitched on top of the cap cover.
Greenery wiring was looped four times and curled around each ear, getting stitched in place before I went through and stitched in the beads.
With the help of my discord, I was able to pick the superior off-white ribbon for trimming.
Lastly (not shown) I finally used hot glue to add a hair comb on the inside for extra stability when wearing the bunnyt.
It actually has some pretty good balance.
Wishing everyone who celebrates a very Happy Easter! Tower and I wish you all a celebration filled day or restful Sunday (depending on how you celebrate)🐰🥳🐣
