I don't usually share my baking stuff here, but I made these cute panna cotta eggs for Easter this year and I think they are pretty neat!!! 🍳🥰
I followed a bunch of different recipes for the elements, but it's basically: panna cotta "white" with lemon curd "yolk" "spices" are dark chocolate bits (as pepper) and chunks of pistachio (as scallions) set inside hollowed-out kinder chocolate eggs, and on little white chocolate and corn flakes "nests" decorations: edible moss cake bits and strawberries!
Maybe it will inspire someone too! 🥰

Easter Dessert - Carmilla Carmine
You try to help your Mama Carmilla Carmine with making a Easter Dessert - but you find it more fun trying to eat the carrotts and make Carmilla wish she could have a third cup of Coffee this Morning.
"Help! Up up!"
You tug on the sleeve of your mother, Carmilla Carmine, once and make grabby hands to the Overlord.
"Bebe, I'm trying to make the Easter dessert, you'd just cause chaos when helping okay?" - Carmilla said rather dryly.
"Yay Easter!" - You clap your hands once and tug on your mother's sleeve again.
"I really love you Bebe, but can you please go and find Odette or Clara? They'll definitely love playing with you… if I mess up this year's Easter dessert again, Rosie will have to tell me again that she's much better at baking and that I should try the Cannabil Town style….", - your mother makes a quick hand gesture - that means something like - Bebe Mommy is busy, go and play with your big sisters Odette and Clara - but you don't have good ears for this request, nor do you want to leave your mother's side right now… or you have any idea what exactly your mother just said in all those words.
"Mama! Me heeeeeeelp!" - you said, and Carmilla briefly considered which was the greater evil and picked you up, somewhat stressed, while she stirred the dough for the Easter dessert in the bowl with her other hand.
For a while, you watched as your mother devoted herself to the kitchen with full concentration.
You were even allowed to throw a spoonful of sugar into the bowl once, and Carmilla praised you—albeit a little stressed—a few words of praise in Spanish that you understood.
"Mother? When is Easter brunch with the other Overlords? We should… oh….."
"Oh, what, Odette?"
"Mom? Have you seen what our little sister is doing?"
"She… Bebe… what are you doing, huh?!"
With a broad grin, you reached for one of the decorative carrots and started eating it while your mother was distracted. The small package of decorative carrots had been within reach, and you love eating sweet things before breakfast…or lunch, or dinner.
"Carrot num num!" you said innocently, nibbling on the decorative carrot while giving your mother a quiet giggle.
"I think you misunderstood the bedtime story about the carrot and the rabbit." - Odette took you from the stressed-looking Carmilla and positioned you on her hip, while you stretched your hand toward the other decorative carrots.
"Dede! Carrot! I want it!"
"Yes, DeDe! Give our baby sister a carrot," Clara laughed, receiving a warning look from Carmilla.
"Give her a real carrot from the fridge… if she tries to use the conference room again to race Rosie's assistant… a little less energy would be just right."
Clara laughed once, and you weren't exactly thrilled when Odette walked with you to the fridge and handed you a real carrot, not a candy one.
"Mama!" you whined unhappily, but Carmilla was completely absorbed in the Easter dessert. Or rather, preparing it.
And that was with a slightly excitable toddler who kind of wanted to help, but somehow wasn't all that easy.
You hadn't happily let yourself be pushed aside with the fridge carrot, and even Odette and Clara's suggestion to play with you a little while the cake was baking in the oven couldn't make you happier… it was a little chaotic.
"Bebe no! You're not going near the oven!" - Carmilla's voice took on a sharp tone as you padded into the kitchen and headed purposefully towards the oven.
"Easter cake ready?" You flop down on the kitchen floor and giggle, looking up at Carmilla.
"Not yet. He still needs…", but Carmilla didn't get to finish her sentence, because in the meantime, for this Easter Overlord (not the Vees!) meeting in Cannabil Town, a good friend of the Carmine family had arrived at the estate.
You notice this, too, and your focus during the greeting in the ancient language and the accent made you say a quiet, enthusiastic "oooooh" and jump back to your feet.
"Zesitalllllly!" - and before Zestial could bring him to safety from your toddler-like greeting, you rush towards the dreaded Overlord and hug his right leg, telling him about the carrots and that Mommy said you weren't allowed to go near the hot oven and that it was Easter.
Carmilla was about to rescue Zestial from this greeting when the oven beeped once, indicating that the cake was already ready, and Zestial made a brief hand gesture that meant something like, "It's okay, I can do it."
And Carmilla's eyes expressed pure gratitude, because while she was busy with the cake, Zestial picked you up—albeit a little awkwardly—and thus gave your mother enough time to devote herself to the subsequent cake decoration.
And you tell Zestial, with all that alien toddler euphoria, how you're looking forward to Easter and that the Easter Bunny will definitely bring something for Mom, Dede, and CeCe for Easter, and that you'd like to ask Aunt Rosie later if she's ever seen the Easter Bunny.
And Zestial listened with complete composure and paying attention to your every word.
(and yes, when Carmilla briefly stepped out of the kitchen, he helped you quickly and secretly snack on some of the leftover frosting!)
THE END
