every time i think about rosekiller as parents i think of your blog... when i made that post i was thinking of your blog... when i saw this ask i fr went :O... if it's not clear i am fangirling but anyways onto everything
okayyyy so i did my usual thing of kidnapping an existing canon character who nobody ever talks about so now felix rosier is rosekiller's son. i ofc wanted to give them a daughter too bc yay rosekiller girldads but i couldn't think of a character to kidnap so i made an oc instead named cynthia (her middle name is pandora and her last name is roiser which makes her initials cpr... i have a feeling she'd find it badass and be the only one who feels that way. also felix's middle name is bartemius)
so anyway felix is originally the only child rosekiller were going to have, and they have him when they're in their early-ish twenties. everything is going great. then evan comes out as ace and they drift apart bc neither of them know how to handle it and bc they don't know how to talk about it either they just decide that the solution is barty hooking up with other people (even though neither of them really want that and it's not the best idea to open up your relationship when you have a pretty young kid... ofc they try to hide it from felix but ofc he finds out anyway and bc he doesn't know know, he just knows that barty is with other people and he and evan are both upset about it)
but despite not really liking this arrangement barty lowkey ends up falling in love with this one woman (who has yet to get a name... sorry girl) (im thinking vivianne but ik i just saw that in a tumblr post somewhere and i already forgot where/what it was so im hesitant about that 💀). the woman pretty much leads him on and ends up running off and dumping him with cynthia, who he didn't even know about, when cynthia is six months old. i think we can imagine how it would be awkward for barty to come home to his husband and their nine-year-old son (who is definitely old enough to understand what went down now) with a kid that's now theirs. (this is heavily inspired by the play fences by august wilson. like i never intended it that way but now im embracing it bc it's giving off massive fences vibes. except, yk, barty is not troy maxson and therefore not a massive douchebag) needless to say rosekiller start going to couples therapy after that (and boy would i love to be a fly on the wall during some of those sessions) (dw felix gets therapy for having to deal with their bs the past few years too....)
but despite all that evan never treats cynthia as anything less than his child and he doesn't hesitate to help get her last name changed to rosier. felix doesn't treat her any differently either. they never really try to hide it bc it's pretty obvious cynthia's a little different (as of rn in this au evan is trans so felix is biologically his and barty's) considering she takes much more after her mother in appearances, but cynthia never really cares that much either because in her mind there's no reason to be bothered with the woman who left her behind when evan and barty and felix all happily took her in.
ive made picrews for felix and cynthia, but im not quite done finalizing their appearances so people will have to wait for those. [insert evil laughter]
