Post Endgame Headcanon (!Avengers: Endgame Spoilers!)

(Seriously guys, this is a POST endgame headcanon, it does spoil endgame)

- Tony only faked his death, mostly so he could have some alone time with Pepper and  Morgan

- And so the Avengers won’t turn up on his doorstep again, asking for something ridiculous

- And Pepper and Morgan are the only ones who know

- Happy finds out about half a year later, while paying the family a visit and Tony is the one opening

- “Tony?

- “No, I’m not Tony, I’m his cousin… Tommy!”

- “Tony!”

- When Steve is eventually so old that he can’t even walk properly anymore, he gets a huge package all of a sudden. A super modern, high-tech wheelchair by Stark industries.

- There is no bill, no letter, only a tiny note with a very quick drabble of the arc reactor

- Steve never tells anyone, he just smiles, and secretly thanks the universe that tony made it through somehow

- The only other person to ever find out is Peter Parker obviously, because did you really think Tony would let Peter think he was dead?

- It’s Peter’s graduation, and in the very back of the crowd is this dude with a sombrero, a poncho and some seriously oversized sunglasses.

- Said dude approaches Peter after everything is over, and explains in the most terrible imitated Mexican accent that Peter is invited to work at Stark Industries anytime he likes, and that the company will pay all his college/university fees

- Peter immediately recognizes Tony

- The voice, the terrible costume, the even worse fake accent…

- He doesn’t hug him or anything, because honestly, he’s not really surprised, deep inside he always knew Tony was alive

- When Tony is done explaining everything, he hand Peter some sheets of paper that state all of the things he said. Of course the papers are all signed by Tony himself

- Peter in the meantime is trying not to laugh out loud; he’s having too much fun watching Tony struggling with the accent

- When Tony turns to leave, Peter just tells him a quiet “Thank you, Mister Stark”, and he isn’t really sure if it’s for the contracts he was handed or the conformation that Tony is alive

- Tony is seriously shocked, because: his costume was perfect! How did Peter recognize him?

- He only turns around quickly, pushing his sunglasses down on his nose enough for Peter to see his eyes, and winks at the boy with a smirk. Then he turns around and leaves. He’s gotta go home. Morgan probably already misses him.
