Casyl grew up with his aunt after his parents abandoned him and they couldnt handle having a disabled child, he was neurodivergent and had epilepsy which gave him constant seizures which lessened as he grew up, his aunt cared for im deeply and she loved him like her own child and took care of him with her wife who had a love for rock music which quickly grew on him. he left home at 19 with his friends to start a band which kept going until he had a seizure on stage at 21 where he unlocked his psychic abilities but came at a cost which was gaining narcolepsy and being abandoned once again by his bandmates. he turned to alcohol and substances and tried to commit suicide until he was saved by a psychonaut who was looking for a person of interest for a mission, the person got away but Casyl owed the psychonauts his life so he joined at 26 and has stayed there til this very day.. hes also very much in love with Sasha Nein

After recent Supreme Court wins, the society’s youth arm debates the next stage for the conservative legal movement.

Losing popularity and power? That’s ok, just switch to authoritarianism!

We always figured that’s what cons would want to do. After all, for most Americans, the US WAS a authoritarian nation for most of its history, and conservative worship of billionaires and longing for a new aristocracy didn’t just start with Trump.

This outlook is baked in to the American pie, and our constitution will accommodate it. Be nervous. Stay alert.

Edited to add: When conservatives and federalists talk about “tyrannical domination of the minority by the majority,” as described in the federalist papers, keep in mind that “majority” in that phrase referred to workers and slaves. The founders feared losing their power to the people; cons & federalists fear the same thing.

at some point in homestuck, it is established that alternian is english, for plot convenience/ease of communication. and in one of the act 6 walkaround games, horuss says damara's (google translated) japanese is just an "eastern alternian accent", even though he can't understand it. this evinces that all dialects spoken on alternia are considered to be the same language, alternian, even though they are not all mutually intelligible.

this recalls groups of languages that are not mutually intelligible but are nevertheless lumped together for political reasons, like "chinese" and "arabic". one might even venture to say that this idea was/is pushed by the Empress in order to bolster alternian nationalism and war fever. in this essay i will

Urgent Help Needed

Okay so here’s the deal. We’re barely able to get food and meds and go to the doctor, we need help.

The biggest thing is this though, we live in a rental house with a history of water related issues... and we’re starting to get sick. We need to move some point soon, this isn’t healthy for us! Everyone in the house has health issues already, this is making it all worse!

We just don’t have any money to set aside to save up for this! We don’t even have enough money to buy us new clothes! Please help us out by boosting this or donating!

Some songs I’d recommend are The Plot Sickens, Jonathan, The Cofin is Moving, Last Words, Animals, Father’s Day, The People Under The Stairs, Red Sky Warning,  Alice, Communion Of The Cursed, Connect The Cuts, and What I Never Learned in Study Hall

For music videos I recommend any of their covers they’re music videos for them are my faves (Someone Like You, Animals, and I Don’t Wanna Live Forever). Also, from their last album (Every Trick In The Book) I’d watch Communion Of The Cursed, Hell in the Hallways, and The Nature Of The Beast in that order. Ooooo and the music video for The Fastest Way To A Girl’s Heart is my fave because I like how vintage it looks and Nadia plays a vampire in it I love it.

As for interviews my absolute fave is their Bryan Stars interview from 2014 its soo funny I love it |x| and maybe the Rock Sound interview where Spencer talks about the meaning behind some songs |x|.
