I like the princess saving herself trope. that’s great and a nice step in the right direction. good on ya. but! how bout we have women saving other woman! women saving young/“weak” men! men saving young/“weak” men! a man saving a woman but messing up so they end up working together and contributing to the escape equally! realistically, not everyone can save themselves and certainly not without some guidance... most people are very weak and incapable so the prince saving princess trope isn’t inaccurate. however, weakness and strength are not gender specific! people need other people to find solutions by building on top of what the other person has already laid out.

(when i say weak i mean incapable of preforming a required task, but i don’t think it’s wrong to consider ourselves weak or incapable)

Day #20

20) Favorite battle

I didn’t make a day 19 because I couldn’t think of an answer so I’m just gonna pass on it.

This is another hard one! There are so many great battles how could I pick just one???? So I decided to choose a range of battles. When I started to think about it, outside of Laxus vs. Raventail during the GMG arc, most of my favorite battles came from the Tartaros arc. Lucy vs. pretty much all of Tartaros, Juvia vs. the Necromancer, Gray vs. Silver, Wendy vs. Ezel, Jackal vs. Natsu, Natsu and Gray vs. Mard Geer, Mira vs. Selaih and more I’m sure. I think I just really liked the pairing and the different dynamics each person brought to the fight. Mashima is really good at creating new characters with originality. To be quite honest though... not that I think about it, Lucy’s fight when she summoned thre Celestial King was epic and she deserved the spotlight.
