Eight Things about Keeran
@wethatkindoforc tagged me for a thingie, so heeere we go!
1. Keeran was actually based on my SWTOR main, Kiran Seer (who also exists in Wildstar now). The character was supposed to be a con-artist and actress, with knack for space travel, but due to the RP atmosphere and lacking certain niche, I turned her to military. Originally the character was supposed to be named Kiran, but I twisted the name to make it sound more aurin-y. Thus Keeran Briarwood was born.
2. Being the patriot I am, I tend to collate everything to Russia when I can, and Keeran is no exception. Her village Raeha was heavily based on Scandinavia and Russia, both weather wise and tradition wise. Despite not necessarily feeling ‘close’ to her home, the woman still recalls her home fondly. Raeha was a rather large and modern for it’s time settlement in Arborean Fjords.
3. Keeran has always been a thick aurin. Living in the snow requires one to stack up on some weight if one is to survive, so she has thick bones. Weight was added after she gave birth. It’s only recently where Keeran started seeing benefits and stopped freaking out. She is still vary of eating in public for fear of scrutiny.
4. Just as recently, Keeran started adding more than black and white to her wardrobe. Previously a notorious black wearer, the woman now adds more golds and blues to express her allegiance and what she stands for. Exile-colored outfits became her form of silent protest and promotion whenever she goes to visit neutral locations.
5. Despite the general attitude, Keeran actually doesn’t mind neutrality, when it’s harmless. These settlements do earn extra brownie points from her if they are willing to help her or her FCON unit. It’s the Dominion government she doesn’t agree with at large.
6. Keeran’s accent is a mumble-jumble of different cultures. Generally her accent is Exile-desh-like, but some Cassian Highborn words make their way into her vocabulary, as she pronounces them in the equally posh manner. This little phenomenon was caused thanks to the involvement of her both human fathers. Neither of which, actually, is a highborn, but rather, knew their way around them.
7. The reason Keeran never really dates other aurin has to do with her unsuccessful marriage, as well as simply a matter of preference. She seems to naturally find her way around and gravitate towards humans and Mordesh. She even hopes her next spawn will be a human.
8. Keeran has had a history of drinking a lot. It was common for Raehans to be sturdy when it came to alcohol, and Keeran indulged in the habit. She was also a smoker. Of course, these habits came to an abrupt end when she became pregnant.
