I don't think right wing media has spread as much misinformation about anyone else than they have for Che Guevara.
YouTube channels like Bad Empanada and Overzealots have done some great videos going into more detail about how outlets like PargerU misconstrue facts about him to make him seem bad, but I'm going to give you the most clear example I can.
The most common accusations against Che was that he's a racist, and the source they cite for that is his journal and yeah it's true he did write something racist about black people once.
Most people would have read about that on the very first page of his biography; but if they had carried on reading beyond that they would have learned that Che was a sheltered rich kid who wrote that journal before he went to study to be a doctor and the amount of suffering he saw changed him from the ignorant sheltered rich boy he used to be to someone who then went to fight for the freedom and rights in Congo.
In the words of Paarthurnax, "What is better - to be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?"
Besides; if he truely was as racist and homophobic as they claimed he was, the Nazis would be the ones who had pictures of him but instead they hate him.
Anyway, my favourite revolutionary is Cassian Andor from Rogue One and I'm really happy with this design of him in the style of the iconic Che photo. You can find it on my store here: https://www.redbubble.com/people/AvatarObi/shop
Ancora sveglio? Un sogno che vorresti che si avverasse?
Buona notte, notturno anonimo.
“I knew that when the great guiding spirit cleaves humanity in two antagonistic halves, I will be with the people.”
Oh, so it seems that the thing with One Day at a Time is not just slandering El Che; it seems that Rita Moreno was part of US-organized program to take children out of Cuba to “protect” them from communist propaganda (whether CIA was involved is in question because Wikipedia in Spanish and English contradict each other, but history suggest they were).
So the whole thing is anti-Cuba propaganda
