07.45 - 08.15PM Tidy + Prepare for the next day
I “put the kitchen to bed” after dinner - meaning doing the dishes, making sure the kitchen is nice, clean and tidy, and then tidy whatever else minor things having accumulated throughout the day, to wake up with a clean home and mind.
At this stage I also take out whatever I need for the next day, usually workout clothes, uniform and loungewear (work day) or workout clothes, whatever outfit suits the occasion and loungewear. I steam the clothes I will be wearing on the next day as well, to give off a more polished look.
08.15 - 08.30PM Shower/bath
I don’t bathe often. I love it, but unfortunately the hot water elevates my heart rate and I risk feeling poorly. Same goes for showers, but the temperature is easier to navigate.
My evening showers are my nicer, longer showers though, where I can shave if need be (however I wax from home, but not everything can be waxed by myself), use my unscented soap, exfoliate, listen to some music and relax before bed time.
Nothing better than going into a clean bed with a clean body!
8.30 - 09.00PM Cuppa + winding down
I get dressed in nightwear. My favorites vary from silky, satin, chic PJ sets with silky robes that allow me to be dressed but cool, to full night gowns to be warm and cozy.
At this point I also make some herbal tea. My favorites for night time are:
Peppermint (helps gas and bloating after dinner too)
Valerian (powerful herb to sleep but not very tasty)
Chamomile (relaxing flowers to aid sleep)
Vanilla chai (something sweet without caffeine or sugar)
I put on my diffuser for aromatherapy purposes as well, usually lavender, chamomile, cedarwood or ylang ylang.
This is the point I put my phone on charge, take off the wifi or put it in airplane mode and screens are no go for the rest of the evening. I don’t have electronics like phones, computers, etc. in the bedroom, all that’s there is my sun rise alarm and bedside table lamps.
I’ll look over my journal and calendar, make a plan for tomorrow, put in what I ate, water intake, exercise etc. that I like to track.
I read a variety, I love books! For information, to wind down, learn yet relax.
My obsessions are books about etiquette, elevation as a feminine woman, nutrition books (however on the back burner at the moment, to not burn out from studying nutrition too), books about beauty and skincare, etc.
Anything that gets me closer to my goals and provides me with knowledge on my favorite points of interest.
09.15 - 09.45PM Skincare + mouth hygiejne
I brush my teeth with my Philips Sonicare DiamondClean in the pink colour, super girly and the best electric toothbrush I’ve tried (used to always use OralB before), as well as using my waterpik to ‘floss’.
Some skincare I do earlier on in order to let certain treatments and oils soak in but generally my skincare goes:
Oil cleanse to get rid of makeup (if worn) and sunscreen
Double cleanse with gel/milk/cream cleanser to deep clean
Tone with hyaluronic acid toner
Retinol - let it sit on it’s own for AT LEAST 20 mins (or go to bed as is) and I don’t use this daily, only a few times a week.
Finish with 100% Shea nut butter
All of the above, skipping the retinol.
Lights out and hopefully fast asleep to get 8 hours of sleep.

I use a silk pillow shaped for me as a side sleeper, you can buy them from Save my face. They’re amazing and a must if you don’t sleep on your back!
I put my hair in a silk bonnet to tackle my pretty bad frizz and protect my hair and also not get hair all over my face (I need it out of my face!). If not that, I’ll have it in a bun with a clip (not a hairband) or a braid.
I also use a satin eye mask to make sure I get the best night sleep in silence and darkness, as well as my biggest essential. My partner to cuddle. x
