So! I’m gonna post this to gauge people’s reaction to me writing a small swap AU story for the land of stories, and you guys can use the way Conner and Alex ended up to see if you think it might be interesting to you!

How each of the fair council members test their pens:

Brystal: Flips the corner of the page and draws in circles till the ink starts flowing.

Skylene: tests it on the palm of her hand.

Emerelda: draws up and down in a straight line then turns the line into a word so you can’t tell.

tangerina: draws a circle on the top corner of the paper.

Lucy: she either doesn’t do it or scribbles all over the place till the pen starts working.

Xanthous: Also draws on the back till the pen starts working.

these are some edits i made for the fairy council from the land of stories. all moodboards were made by me and contain my watermark on them. all images used were found on pinterest and edited on picsart. while i own the edits, i DO NOT own the individual pictures used ^^

i plan to make more edits whenever i can during study breaks (because exams are so annoying <3) but yea! pretty proud of how these turned out, hopefully the people in the tlos fandom agree and i’ve done the characters justice. some of the characters have lil backstory references in their moodboards which was fun to add in ^^

i am..a little annoyed now that i put ‘mother goose’ instead of just like ‘lucy goose’ or smth cause now it looks a little odd but oh well- what’s done is done. anyways, till the next post (which…might be soon who knows lol <33)

Emerelda's character is so neutral and she has this thing where she always looks like she could do anything at any moment, so I tried so hard to incorporate that neutrality in her expression. Still, jeez she seems like she's got that thousand-yard stare so...

IF THERE IS ONE THING I LOVE DRAWING, IT'S GEMS. SO SHE HAS HER BEADS AND HER GEMS AND HER DIAMOND TIARA HOLDING BACK HER HAIR AND AAAAAAA I LOVE IT SO MUCH!

Emerelda is so pretty. I would literally do anything for her. This is to make up for my Fairy Council rant. I think she's wonderful and I had so much fun drawing her aaaaaaa! I also firmly believe she is so glittery and sparkly and shiny and shimmery and splendid because of how many little gems are on her clothes and stuff.

So, I’m just wondering, why the fuck Xanthous had such a short backstory compared to everyone else? Like everyone’s sucked. Lucy’s parents didn’t love her, Skylene and Tangerina were abandoned, Brystal and sexism and being literally prosecuted, Emerelda basically never having any friends. All that sucks. But like. What the fuck happened to Xanthous?? His mom died, he had an abusive father who apparently got drunk a lot, all the homophobia, KILLED HIS FATHER. And I haven’t reread it in a while, but i’m pretty sure he saw the body. It got so bad this guy was just ‘okay. Fuck it. Fuck this all, it is time to die’. LIKE CHRIST DUDE??

Also haven’t read land of stories yet (may never read it idk)
