i’m back!

well, hey there! i’m emmie! i left writeblr almost exactly a year ago for an extended hiatus, but i’m finally back. it’s so nice to see everybody’s neat things crossing my dash again, and i’m still astounded by how creative and amazing the people i follow (and the writers i can’t wait to discover) are.

i’m planning to make an actually Official re-introduction post soon, but this is a just a little pinned thing because i can’t quite contain my excitement over reading about all your really cool projects long enough to put together something more “formal.”

some of the things i’ve done while away:

started university (!)

spent about 50% of my first semester lost on campus

re-read my old writing and realized that it is very bad

re-read other old writings and realized that it actually was pretty good

fell in love with joanna newsom’s music (tbh i learned more from reading about sapokanikan than in all my years of history classes)

pulled my very first all-nighter (darn you, analytical chemistry)

got very homesick

but made loads of new friends!

took a long break from writing and then remembered why it do it all over again

i can’t wait to get back to full-time rambling into the void, and i hope, if you’re reading this, that the tumblr void isn’t too terribly dark and you’re doing okay. i’d love to hear from you!
