Colby’s bio.....I LOVE IT😂😂
“I think I’m in love with you, and that scares the crap out of me” // Colby Brock Imagine
The rain had started pouring over an hour ago, and you were seating on the back of an Uber drive, with a boy named Luke, who was your date for the night. You both met on Tinder, and even though you weren't sure about accepting his offer to take you on a date, you ended up liking to know him personally and enjoying his company.
"I really had fun tonight." he told you, smiling.
"Me too." you nodded, as the car stopped in front of your apartment complex. You quickly looked around the car and smiled a little towards his direction. He felt different than any other guy you had met, and you felt fresh. You were happy to move on from your endless single state, even if it wasn't with the person you truly wanted to be with. "So... This is me, I guess." you said, chuckling.
Luke nodded. "I'll walk you to your door." he said, ready to open the car's door.
"No, no, no! That's not necessary, you should go home and I'm pretty sure Mr. Stocks wants to go home as well." you stopped him, smiling at the Uber driver. "No one should be outside right now, with the storm coming."
"She is right!" The driver said, chuckling.
"Thank you, though. I'll talk to you later, yeah?" you opened the door of the car and got out, waving at Luke who wished you a good night.
Closing the door, you walked around the car under the rain and started looking for your keys, as you listened to the car take off.
You really liked the time you spent together, but you had to admit ubering to and from a date wasn't the best way to impress.
Suddenly, as you were walking towards the building, the lights outside went off and, startled, you let your bag fall on the floor. Great, now you not only had to take a shower and wash your clothes as soon as possible, but you also had to do it to your bag, perfect.
You leaned down to grab your bag and immediately heard the buildings door closing, letting you know you had lost the chance of getting in while someone else was getting out. You still hadn't found your keys, and now the only light you had was the one coming from the building's entrance, which was barely any.
You sighed and got up. The sight in front of you surprised you. Colby was standing a few feet away, his hair and clothes as wet as yours under the pouring rain. He looked distressed, and confused.
"Colby! What- what are you doing here?" you had to speak loud, so the boy could hear you over the sound of the water dropping everywhere.
You walked closer to him, curious to know why he was there. "Was that your date?" he asked, but you could barely hear him.
"Luke?" you asked, glancing back to where the car was moments before. "Yeah, why?"
Colby nodded, trying to looking everywhere but you. "You guys had fun?"
You frowned, realizing he didn't answer your question. "What are you doing here?" you repeated. "There's a storm coming, we shouldn't be outside." you informed him, taking some of your hair out of the front of your face.
"Did you have fun?" he, too, repeated, ignoring what you had just told him.
You frowned again, then shrugged. "Yeah, I guess."
You watched Colby take a deep breath and turn around. He seemed tense, stressed, and you couldn't put your finger on why he looked like that. But it stressed you out, too.
"What's going on, Colby? Is everything ok?" you asked, putting your hand on his shoulder, so he would look at you again. He simply shook his head. "Are you ok? What happened?"
Colby glanced at you, his eyes stopping somewhere near your feet. "Nothing." he replied, shaking his head once again. "Nothing happened." he repeated, sounding like he was ready to leave.
Before the boy could say or do anything else, you put both of your hands on each of his arms, hoping to stop him from leaving if he tried to. "What's going on, Colby? You know you can trust me." you told him softly, letting him know you meant it.
Colby looked up at you, his eyes watching every bit of your face as you were watching his. "It's just..." he murmured, slightly shaking his head. "I think I’m in love with you, and that scares the crap out of me."
For a moment, time stopped for you. You didn't really know what to say or what to do, and the racing heart beating in your chest didn't seem to help you think. You held your breath, without even realizing it, and your mouth slowly opened. You were shocked, surprised, but over all, you were happy.
You stood there looking at Colby, not really knowing what to say. He meant everything to you, and knowing that he really liked you, maybe was even in love with you, were the best news someone could give you at the moment. Even if there was a storm above you and a higher possibility of dying.
Colby closed his eyes and frowned, shaking his head. "And now I scared the crap out of you." he said, raising his hands so he could cover his face.
You quickly moved forward, grabbing his hands with your left one before they could reach his face. "No, no, not at all- what would you- why- no." you started, making him look at you again. "There's no way that'd scare me, there's nothing you could say that'd scare me." you told him, shaking your head and hoping Colby believed you.
The boy didn't say anything, so you smiled. Then chuckled.
"I guess this is a great time to tell you that I really like you, too. Like, really really really really really like you."
Colby raised both his eyebrows and stepped away. By this time, the rain wasn't falling as hard as it was before, and you could see his face clearer. "You're not supposed to joke, y/n." he said, with a happy glint on his eyes.
"I'm not." you told him, trying to contain the big smile your lips were trying to show.
"Then why did you go on that date?" he asked, perplex.
You shrugged. "You didn't tell me you liked me."
"You didn't tell me you like me."
You nodded. "It's pretty cool that we just did now, though."
The look on Colby's face changed from a confused and a little distressed to a relaxed and releaved one. He then laughed out loud, the sound echoing in the emptyand dark street.
"So you like like me?" he asked happily.
"I like like you. I might even be in love with you, who knows." you shrugged, joking. There was no might when it came to you being in love with Colby. You were in love with him, no questions asked.
Whether Colby understood you at the moment or not, you weren't sure; but as he suddenly kissed your jawline and hugged you like never before, you didn't really think about it.
You were both in love with each other, and there were no reasons to be scared.
