Castiel and Empty theory for season 15
Time for a supernatural theory
Castiel can no longer be influenced, injured or killed by God.
Why? Because God can only affect what is equal or of his own creation.
How is that not also Castiel? He was an angel, therefore created by God. But then he was killed by Lucifer and rested in the empty. He was awoken there by Jack, but could not escape on his own. The passage through to existence could not be crossed by him. However, when the Empty awoke and in the end sent him back, he could cross that passage.
Ergo, Castiel is no longer a creation of God. His form and vessel are made by the Empty. The Empty released him and later laid a claim on him in season 14.
The Empty was before God and Amara. The Empty and Death are one level above both of them. (Death said so himself by pointing out that in the end, he will also reap God himself)
This theory would also give an explanation on why the Empty is so angry/confused/awake.
It is because Castiel is now an active part of itself and has separated from the main body of the Empty.
I don’t think Castiel is therefore the „Empty-Incarnation“.
Then why does he look the same, seems to have grace and more or less the same powers?
I think that could be, because the Empty is not meant to create itself. It has not done so ever. When it travels to creation it inhabits Duma and other angels to communicate. It probably built Castiel up from what it could gather from his own memories. (The Empty was inside Castiels head remember?)
Further that would also explain, why Castiel seems both, more on edge and weaker than before.
On edge: because the trauma and the creation out of nothingness is more or less pointing towards the negative than the positive. (And the fights with Sam and Dean don’t help with that)
Weaker: Because Castiel Imagines himself weak. He is no longer leading armies, he is failing his friends, lying and has been killed and wounded more times than ever before. So I’m the end it is his own perception that made the Empty re-create him this way.
Why doesn’t he have any powers from the Empty then himself? For two reasons. First, I don’t think he would think he had them, so he doesn’t use them. Second, the Empty didn’t Portrait more powers than those that angels already have to a certain degree. So maybe we already saw some, in very limited ways and mistook them as his angel powers, while it was his new Empty powers.
This theory is not finalized. And I’m sure I didn’t think of all the details yet. It was just something that crossed my mind at midnight and I found it interesting enough to write down. Please feel free to add to this and share your own theories.

Does anyone remember the day or the day after 13x04 The Big Empty aired, and some magical being made a comic about it and the text was like,
Empty!cas: OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!! STFU!! AND TAKE THIS NEW COAT AND TIE, THE OTHER ONE WAS FUGLY!!
Or something like that. It's killing me. I thought it was something from @vinnie-cha or @consulting-cannibal or somebody with an awesome art style like that, but I can't find it!
