Encanto 2 is obviously a cashgrab but I think it can work

My idea is that they should get bold and either kill off abuela or make her give up her title as the matriarch so Mirabel can host the new gift ceremony for Dolores' child

That way you can still keep the slice of life vibe,give mira an arc that isn't a repeat of the original like other recent disney sequels,and address unanswered questions like how gifts can be received now that the candle is gone

I hope we get a Encanto 2 one day, as I got some interesting ideas for what could happen in it.

Since the house was rebuilt at the end of the first movie maybe the changes have not only caused the Madrigal's powers to evolve, but those that married into the family have also gained powers of their own. Would be interesting to see them try and get use to their new powers while something happens.

I also had this idea of Bruno getting with a lady that is into history, a nice contrast to his future powers, and could help keep him in the now.

And of course one where maybe after all these years, the government who sent the people that caused Alma, her husband, and others to flee are still out there, and now that there is a opening in the mountain that protected them, that bad guys seek to find them and their families.

I'm also a fan of the theory of Dolores being an antagonist of sorts, because she hates her power of super hearing and wishes to be rid of it.
