And the cool thing about all that crying was that by the time the tears subsided and the sun began to sink in the sky, I felt different. Calmer. Humbler. More at peace than I’d felt in a good year since I’d left the same city I was back in.

˗ˏˋ ★ Growth takes Bravery ★ ˎˊ˗
My whole life, I've been playing things safe.
‧₊˚✧Safety. Comfort. Certainty.✧˚₊‧
It took me more than a decade to understand that this exact behavior was my greatest enemy. The truth is that we will only be on this earth for a limited time and with every year,
with golden leaves falling from trees,
snowflakes dancing in the wind,
with every spring blossom and every summer rain,
I want to grow beyond my past self.
The second harsh truth is that this can only come from a place of uncertainty and discomfort. To truly grow means to accept these emotions and still take the jump. The only certainty along your side is self-trust and your ability to deal almost anything. No matter what will come, you can manage to make it good.
Pick something that you are afraid of and do it now.

I mean, I’m always anxious, thinking I’m not living my life to the fullest, taking advantage of every possibility, making sure I’m not wasting one second of the little time I have.
— Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind (2004)
I was an intelligent kid. I was good in maths and languages. I was the top of my class. But, I never strived for it.
All I enjoyed was reading, dreaming, dwelling in fantasy worlds and writing anything and everything my creative mind thought of.
Writing came to me very naturally.
My mother pushed me to pursue everything she wanted as a kid but couldn't get. She vicariously lived through me.
My father was over the moon, when I became first in my school in Grade 5 National Exam.
But, what did I feel? A little bit happy? - Maybe. Proud? - definitely not.
All I wanted was live, laugh and dream!
At some point in our lives most of us lose the sense of who we are, get lost in a persona the world creates for us. So did I.
I tried to become a high achiever, chasing goals even though it didn't satisfy my soul.
A decade later I started chasing goals (because that's what I was told to do) here I am, empty, unfulfilled, crippled with anxiety.
Maybe, my anxiety stems from forcefully exercising a false persona onto myself. A persona that goes against my natural personality.
Maybe not everyone is born to set goals and pursue them. Maybe, some of us are born to sit back and enjoy the ride or life.
Maybe some of us are not born to know our purpose in life. Maybe some of us are not supposed to know what to do with our lives and maybe we will never know.
Maybe some of us are just wanderers in life and in the world! And maybe that's okay!
