Today consited on working on the design project and a lot of reading for aerodynamics.
Week 4 of this term is in process and since I only found out last week that I was using the wrong book for aerodynamics so far, I have quite a bit of reading to catch up on. Unfortunately I haven't been able to do much reading on the weekend because of family circumstances, but I've come quite far today!
You can play name all the hazards with this photo. Since COVID the school gave us limited accesses to spaces, and the labs that we love are entirely closed down. For the past few weeks we have been soldering in open spaces with the windows open, and hoping not to inhale all the led. Honestly, I also miss having a steady clamp. I feel like it would be easier for my partner to solder if my hands were not trembling.

I'm tired, disappointed, sad and very unmotivated and it's all due to the project. People are either not doing anything or they do the wrong thing, while I explain everything multiple times and they don't as for clarification.
I've sent an email to the supervising teacher and I'm hoping to be able to talk to him tomorrow. If not, I honestly don't know what to do anymore and I probably will have to redo this next year... 😭

Happy pride month to all my lgbtqia+ followers! 🏳️🌈
Today, again, has been very project focussed. Right after my first class today, I found out that one of the things the project supervisor had asked for several times still hadn't been done, so I decided to go ahead and do that. After lunch we had our meeting and the supervisor was very happy with the work shown, so my effort was definitely worth it!
As we were about 2,5 weeks behind scedule last week, the supervisor told us some new things this meeting (yes, the deadline is in three days), which meant that new CAD drawings had to be made. I am actually quite glad about that, because I found a substantial error made by a teammember. The only downside of that was that I had to redesign an entire part (it became the one on the bottom right, don't you think it resembles a cat?!).
It is insane to me how much time I invested in the project today and how little progress I seamed to make, but I've accepted that now and we'll just have to see what needs to be done in order to make the deadline!

Yesterday there was a symposium organised by the study association Sypke Wynia. It was pretty nice and included some presentations and panels with people from all over the aeronautical/aerospace field. It was a great event to attend and I am hoping to be able to attend something like this in an IRL setting one day.
Today I had some classes, worked on the project and went back to my parent's place. Now I'm going to enjoy the long weekend and I'll try not to think about the deadlines and lectures too much!

This weekend I have been working on mathematics, aerodynamics and the integrated engineering project. The last one being the most annoying of all.
We've been working on this one document over the past FOUR weeks now because some did not understand what specifically was asked of them. For the past two weeks however, this has been (in my opinion) pretty clear, but I guess the others did not and also didn't think to ask me (the project leader) what exactly to do.
Now I do realize that I could have checked on them more, so I'm partly to blame, but on the other hand, for over 15 weeks now, I have been repeating that I want them to ask questions if they are not sure. Another thing bothering me is that more and more my deadlines are ignored by certain people combined with the fact that "It's easier to do stuff on my own laptop and then copy paste it when I'm done.", while I keep asking to do everything in a shared document, so that I can check the progress thoughout the week.
I'm not ready for the next week if I'm honest...
