we could be happy, you and me
I don’t control anything and I never did. It’s all strings attached to me and everything around me by the adults
I guess I’m too young to really know any good but everyone else shouldn’t control me like this
I don’t feel controlled when I’m freaking out. Maybe that’s my key to escaping this puppet show.
Maybe I should stop trying to hide my emotions from the world and myself.
Medical Findings.
(OC: Date [11-09-2016] Day[Sunday])
Dear diary…
After a day like yesterday and a good time to think, I awoke with confidence. Yes I made mistakes, but they are ones I can learn from. I also have a better understanding of where I stand after my somewhat heated discussion with the shade. She was obviously in a bad mood as depicted by her choice words against me. I am far better than some pion. I am no excellent leader yet but I am not a low as a pion. Arguing with her in front of the warband was not something I planned to do. It achieves nothing and bickering with the shade is hardly worth my time.
Anyway onto today. Well it started out fine. I met other members of the warband outside the tent we are staying in. The topic of sparing came up so I reminded everybody that we had other priorities. One of my goals for that day was to find the infirmary or the local equivalent and offer my aid. Then I can place the warband in a positive light by helping. But I will also be able to look at the wounds their fighters have sustained in combat so we can have an idea what to expect.
I spoke to one of the wounded. They described their wounds as being inflicted by a harpy. However the wounds were much larger than I expected for a harpy. Maybe the species here are bigger. Some other wounded or dead seemed to have died or been hurt from a sharp point or blunt force. However the Tauren I asked were reluctant to speak to me. Some other wounds were bite marks or claw gashes which could have been a result of a wild animal.
I did what I can for today and must now rest and report my findings. With hopes I might be able to keep up this activity and turn up more useful information for the warband.
Yours faithfully

Horrific Realizations-- Entry #54 (MH) (Brian)
You know how The Operator rushes into the room at the end of the video? I was wondering about that. I think it's pretty obvious it was The Operator (I'm fairly certain, because It was already in the house), anyways. So. He ran through the doorway. I understand Alex not being able to see It, because he's facing the different direction. I understand Tim, because he was off to the side and more focused on recording Alex.
... But what about Brian? He was sitting right in front of the doorway.
I was reading the Unfiction thread for this particular entry.
"Something potentially interesting that I noticed: The lighting abruptly shifts right before The Operator enters through the doorway around 6:47. To me, it looks like the beam of the flashlight darts from directly above Alex to the doorway, as if the person holding the flashlight (Brian) suddenly spots The Operator as it enters. This would seemingly suggest that at least Brian saw The Operator in this encounter and that The Operator was not totally in "stealth mode" or what have you." ~Boros7
So I re-watched the video. I suck at noticing small details at first glance, apparently. Around the time the static starts, the flashlight moves from hovering beside Alex's head upwards towards the top of the doorway, then darts directly to what I assume is the middle of the top of the doorway. Which is even worse than randomly pointing it towards the doorway, because it means the realization was more (if ever so slightly) gradual, which leaves room for fear and confusion.
Brian pointed the flashlight towards the doorway, then TO ran in immediately afterwards. This leads me to believe that Brian realizing TO was there is what triggered the rush attack, and may have been to prevent him from from saying anything.
"The audio distortion starts really picking up, but it definitely sounds like Brian is saying something just before Slendy shows up. And the light definitely shifts. If you're staring at the door it looks like it could be coincidental, but if you look at Alex instead from about 6:44 until the video cuts out, you can clearly see that he's not lit anymore and the light is focused on the door. So Brian had to see something that made him turn the light to the door. He made a comment about "I'm gonna get a good lighting on Alex here" and the light went from being trained directly on Alex to slowly moving up the wall, almost like he saw the Slenderman, but didn't quite want to believe it and was trying to see if he could light The Operator's "face" and not long after the light started moving up it cut to the door, like he suddenly realized that wasn't the dark and the storm playing tricks on him, but that something was there and he pulled the flashlight over quickly to see what it was. And then the Slenderattack happened. o_o" ~Nyxandria
^^^^^^^^^^ He says it best.
I think what's much more important here is that BRIAN SAW IT. I can't even imagine how terrified he must have been to see that thing in the doorway, much less have it run into the room. And if we take in account the fact that Brian isn't susceptible to memory loss (that I know of), he remembered. He remembered this encounter, and he never said anything.
As far as I know, he's the only one that remembers this, and he's the one who saw It. That's so... This thing is called a Horrific Realization for a reason.
**EDIT**
Further lurking the thread, it's come to my attention that the audio in Entry 54 matches up with the audio at the end of 'Reminder' (Which is also from 'Operator'). So... What if Brian (Hoody/TTA) is saying not that he remembers Jay (Because this is after the 7 month gap), but that he remembers what happened in Entry 54?
I forgot how much I loved entry #54. The guys are all pretty chill, and you can hear them through the characters as they goof off and tease each other. It makes me happy (and seeing TO pop up gave me chills, as usual)

Grass is Not Greener for the Man with the Green Hat
Around St. Patty's Day, when many were adorning festive green attire, my conversation partner, Emma, told me that Chinese men almost never wear green hats.
She said "a man wearing a green hat" is an expression in China that implies a woman is cheating on her husband.
Chinese people must really pity the Lucky Charms mascot.
Upon looking into this idiom further, I discovered Chinese Catholic bishops, who are supposed to wear green hats in their coats of arms, have often opted to break tradition and use purple hats instead (x).
This made me ponder American English idioms relating to colors. Black is often part of idioms that denote negativity, such as 'black and blue' and 'black sheep.' Yellow may imply cowardice, exemplified with the idioms 'yellow streak' and 'yellow-bellied.' There are idioms for every color in the rainbow.
I wonder, though, what comes first in situations like these--the perception behind the color, or the color-related idiom? In other words, do these idioms reflect cultural ideas or create them?
