One Piece Enso (New Opening: Episode 1074)

Enso

Did nearly every scene focus on a circle (enso?).

I think it might have.

Including, of course, Nika against the sun, the straw hat, Sanji's cooking pot, a well (Zoro's at the well). So, so, so, so much. It's a beautiful opening.

New opening - Episode 1074

For the series: let's look for Heart Pirates!

It doesn't need to be said, but I say it: I love the new opening.

I'm actually a little bummed they flubbed this one. What we should have seen in this new episode was the flashback solving the little mystery they maintained so far with this scene; you don't see Kiku until this last time when she's with Toki. Now, I think this is fully the type of thing where it was a subtlety that adaptation needs to treat differently. Toei has already slipped in their own hints about that bond so its a moot point here, where sticking to canon for the full scene would make it stand out more than one panel.

Oddly enough, did make me notice something too. Used to this with the anime adaptation, sometimes they get Kiku's many outfits a little off. They've done this a few times actually. For some reason they decided to stick with the pale yellow top instead of the Himura Kenshin cosplay. I don't tend to think much about it meaning anything, they're minor details that work better in the manga format. Anime just added scenes and likely will have a little more of that by the end.
