Help Jocelyn Fight Kidney Disease & Keep Her Family Afloat Hi, my name is Jocely… Jocelyn Kelly needs your support for Kidney Disease Strug
Still smiling—barely. Another dialysis session down. 3 times a week, hours at a time, hooked to a machine that keeps me alive while draining everything else—my energy, my strength, and lately… my finances.
I have end-stage renal failure. Disability income helps, but it’s not enough to cover rent, bills, food, and medical costs.
I'm trying to hold on. Truly. But it’s hard.
That’s why I started a GoFundMe, to ask for support while I fight to stay afloat until I can get a transplant.
If you’ve ever felt like life was pushing you past your limits—you’ll understand what this season is like for me.
🙏 If you’re able to help, share, or send a kind word, it means everything. 📲 Link in bio

National Donate Life Month (NDLM) is celebrated every April and features a full month of activities to encourage organ donor registration.
Are you an organ donor? Are you interested in learning more ? See the link above. If not for an organ donor (deceased), I may not have received my kidney and pancreas transplants in time. You can save a life. If interested you can register to be an organ donor right from this site. Thank you @kidneystories2013 for the reminder.

So it’s unlikely that the nodule they saw is cancer since it’s the same size as a previous test I had a few years ago. However, since the radiologist insisted I get it tested I still have to get it tested. I also learned I have nodules on my adrenal gland and cysts on my kidneys which all have to be checked out as well. So at a minimum, I’m off the transplant list for about a month until I get all new clearances from the specialists. What’s frustrating to me is that this is the first I’m hearing of all of this. These things have been present on my previous tests and no one bothered to mention to me that I have potentially cancerous growths in my body. Due to my kidney disease, I'm at very high risk for cancer and these things are supposed to be checked yearly but I haven't because I didn't know about them. The likelihood of it being cancer still is low but they have to be certain, which is something that I could have taken care of a lot sooner while I was getting all my other clearances done.… and my stress levels were just lowering and now I'm incredibly stressed out that I didn't even get to sleep last night.

I'm really not the type of person that likes to ask for things, and this is a difficult thing for me to speak on. My brother, Daniel Silva, is passing. Everything there is to know will be in this link. We would appreciate any kind of donation, no amount is too small. Even just a simple share helps. Thank you ❤

Happy final night of hanukah! Figured I’d try to take a picture of my menorah from the sidewalk, so that’s why it’s kinda blurry.
Celebrating my own personal miracle as I responded really well to the prev round of steroids and am officially on the far side of transplant rejection! I have a short burst of steroids after the new year, but I can begin to make plans again!
Also, all my fish survived this hospitalization! Which rarely happens.
