One of the things that irritates me so much about the Elder Scrolls fandom is people taking literally any of the things that Mankar Camoran says when he is very obviously a weird cultist writing cosmological propaganda.

He literally claims Lorkhan is a Deadra and that Nirn is a realm of Oblivion, which would make absolutely no fucking sense at all and HE CAN'T EVEN GET THE NAME OF MERIDIA'S REALM RIGHT

I am BEGGING TES fans, BEGGING YOU to understand the one thing that Oblivion makes unbelievably clear which is that he is diegetically a propagandist making up absolute horseshit to justify why he's helping the Deadric Prince of Blood Oceans and Turbomurder invade Nirn, please TES fans it's like the most obvious thing ever I am begging you please understand that

In some schools of imperial theosophy, it is speculated that many of the Et'Ada, Aedra and Daedra, weren't actually there from the beginning of existence. Instead, they were minor (possibly even mortal) spirits on Nirn, created from the mingling of Anu and Padomay, who only ascended to godhood later. so like imagine that there’s a gemstone that’s finely cut to have several different facets, and imagine you’re standing to the left of it and looking at it from that perspective and you assign that facet the name “auriel”, but then there’s someone else on the opposite side of the gem and they see the a different facet of that, and they name the facet that they see from their perspective “akatosh”. they’re fundamentally cleft from the same thing, viewed in different ways -- there’s another more nuanced metaphor where the raw uncut gem that is an et’ada is specifically carved into many different faces by the mortals who view them and ascribe personality to them, so instead of just looking at a pre-cut gem you are, by looking at the gem, carving a new facet into it by your perception, leading to things such as “oh, this is clearly the wife of the chief god and mother spirit of everything” or “oh this is obviously the she-wolf handmaiden to our chief goddess”, it’s just as much shaped by cultural values as the gods just being wacky and numinous, as above so below

Which gives a lot of credence to the idea that this is the “daedric” language of the divines, and those that dwell in Aetherius, and all the theories that Herma Mora is somehow tied to them, either as unused creatia, et’ada, a mirror of Akatosh for the daedra, and an antithesis to the elder scrolls.
