Okay, hear me out:
A spidersona in a black-and-white movie era where he doesn't speak and eventually learns to talk and is besties with Spider-Noir (ASL maybe)? He's short and tiny with curly (short) hair, very expressive, and often comes up behind with no sound, always startling his friends (everyone but Noir lol). He's just a sweet little bean child.
Early 1900s(ish), if he had color he'd be blond with mismatched eyes and freckles.
But when he first heard sounds (coming from a silent-film universe) it was like a huge overload to his senses and a big shock, Noir is the one to calm him down the most, and the two are inseparable afterward. Like a little kitten that started following the lone wolf around lol.
What if Bruce had a 'normal' (which I'm using very lightly here) child that he adopted? Like, no bat patrol shenanigans in the middle of the night or solving crime while kicking ass; just an honest-to-goodness kid who went 'nope!' and was content with helping Alfred do chores or grocery shopping, patching the bats up after patrol, even going to soccer practice while taking care of the family. Just being a good ol' cinnamon roll, or even like a mini-Alfred-in-training?
Honestly in that last scene of Reacher's season 2 where they shoot A.M full of lead, I was kind of half expecting O'Donnell to shoot him at least one more time lol
Made a silly ahh lookin' Superman cause my little bro and I got distracted while he was supposed to go to bed lol
Bonus batblob:
Jason Todd anyone?
Blew through 2 seasons of Haikyuu!! in about two days, I don't know whether to be impressed or worried lol
War Spider
Thought of a Spiderman AU where the timeline is set in the 1940s and instead of having a Peter Parker, it's Parker Peters.
Key Events (mostly in order):
Aunt May is deceased
Uncle Ben worked at 1940s Oscorp (midnight security guard)
Radioactive spider hitched a ride and bit Parker at 13
Uncle Ben is deceased
Enlisted in WWII (17 years old, Howling Commandos)
Steve Rogers died on the plane (body was found)
Adopted by Howard Stark (is a good father)
Howard never married Maria
Tony Stark was never born
___ Parker didn't use his powers for a long time, not until after his Uncle Ben's death when he enlisted in the army to make a difference. He felt it was time to do something instead of sitting at home wallowing in grief.
Using his powers in subtle ways Parker saved a lot of soldiers who would've died otherwise, eventually joining an elite team: The Howling Commandos. This leads to him meeting Bucky Barnes and eventually Steve Rogers.
Once Steve's plane goes down Parker has a hard time, losing both him and Bucky, and this is when Howard Stark sees his brilliance (as well as his need for a home) and adopts him.
After being honorably discharged he took up the mantle of War-Spider in honor of the heroes who fought for the country as well as the two friends he had lost.
