summary — even after the reader broke up with nate she still showed up to the first playoff game knowing that nate plays better when she’s watching.

a/n — nate is majorly ooc in this, nowhere near how he is in the show. no spoilers!
Nates dark eyes find yours from the opposite end of the hallway. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion, chest tightening when seeing you adorning his jersey that he’d forgotten to ask for back after the break up. His tall frame begins to make its way towards your smaller one. It feels as though time has slowed as you keep eye contact as he stops in front of you. It had been almost two weeks since you’d seen or spoken to the brunette.
“What’re you doing here and why are you wearing that?” he said, eyeing the black and blue jersey. “I wanted to,” the words die on your lips as you clear your throat. “I know that tonight is important to you and um you always played better with me in the crowd and I just- I know we didn’t end the best but I care about you and I want you to do good tonight.” you rush out, running out of breath. Nate reaches his hands up to cup your face, eyes filled with love and adoration as he looks at you.
“ ‘m sorry. So sorry for hurting you.” he says suddenly and you immediately know that he’s referring to your relationship and how he treated you. He wasn’t the best boyfriend, he made you feel alone even if he didn’t try to, and you eventually had enough, which is what caused you to break up with him. When you don’t respond he speaks again.
“I never stopped caring about you baby.” he stops to clear his throat, and tears fill your eyes at the nickname you loved so much. “I know it didn’t seem like it, but you were the best thing to ever happen to me. And I messed that up, not you. So please, don’t blame yourself. You did everything right, okay? I did everything completely and entirely wrong. I don't expect you to take me back or anything like that…I just need you to know that I love you, y/n l/n. But if you’re willing, I’d like to try again and fix my mistakes ”
Nodding, you take a deep breath and think about his proposal for a moment. “You go out there and win for me tonight, and we can talk about it after, but just talk. how does that sound to you?” You hum and Nate nods quite eagerly, as rubs his thumb across your cheek, back and forth, he leans down and rests his forehead against yours with his eyes closed tightly to stop the tears from falling, “ Thank you baby. Thank you so much.”
He opens them and is met with you staring back at him. “ y/n, can i- can i kiss you?” instead of answering him you lean up and press a soft kiss to the corner of his lips, just barely there. “Win that game for me first.” you smile.
Hours later, Nate had won the game. He did everything in his power to make sure he won for you. As soon as the buzzer went off, signaling the official win, you were rushing down the stairs of the bleachers to meet Nate. He scoops you off the ground into his arms and lays a hard but gentle kiss on your lips. “I always knew you were my lucky charm.” he says and makes you throw your head back laughing as you cringe. “I guess I am.” you say, smiling while looking into his eyes. “I love you Nate.”
Summary: You wear Fez’s initial on a chain around your neck
Pairing: Fezco x Reader
Word count: 0.5k
Note: Obviously, this is inspired by that one line in Call it what you want by Taylor Swift
-
Being part of the Jacobs family was not easy; neither was being Nate's sister.
He was a complete ass to all the boys you ever dated - counting Fez. Sometimes, it worked in your favor. Like that one time Finch was selling your nudes to his friends. When Nate saw them being passed around in the locker room, he didn't hesitate to punch him and threaten to beat him up real bad if he didn't stop. There was also Corey who put his hands under your skirt without permission. The tears on your face when you came home had Nate on his feet and ready to beat whoever hurt you.
Other times, it made your life more difficult.
''F for Fezco,'' your brother mocked when you came down for breakfast, catching the gold pendant around your neck.
''No, it's for fuck off,'' you bit back. You went to the freezer and took out the box of Eggos.
Nate breathed a short laugh. ''Look at you parading around town with that half retard's initial around your neck. Like he owns you. Like dogs who needs their owner to tag their address on them so people know where to return them to if lost.''
''Fez's not possessive like you.''
''Then why the necklace?''
Personally, you always found wearing your boyfriend's initial around their neck very tacky. Like Nate had said, you were not a fucking dog. But, a lot of girls saw the gesture as quite romantic. To their eyes, it was their boyfriend declaring their love for them, but also their exclusive right to them. Sort of like a promise ring, but without the big commitment.
To you, this was not what the chain around your neck represented. To you, it held a deeper meaning.
''That new?'' Fez asked while you sat in his lap on the couch, tracing his fingers along the slim chain down to the 'F' dangling from it. The quality of the jewelry was very yellow and cheap, but good jewelry was expensive.
You bit your lip. Since you got it, you had been nervous to get his reaction, worried he'll get the wrong message. It was difficult to guess with Fez.
His eyebrows furrowed together, blue eyes glued on the pendant. ''Why?''
You mirrored his frown. ''What do you mean?''
''Why would you want my initial around your neck like that? Put my name on you like you're my fuckin' possession.'' He shook his head. ''I ain't that kind of guy.''
''I know. I know.'' You smoothed your hands up his clothed chest and to the back of his neck, reassuring him with your touch. ''That's not why I got it. I want to wear it because you're the only one who really knows me.''
There was many versions of yourself. The you your family knew. The you your friends knew. The you your ex-boyfriends knew. The you your teachers and classmates knew - etc. But none of these versions were the real you. They were their perceptions of you.
The real you was guarded behind high walls, which only Fez had knocked down. He knew your deepest secrets and what you were afraid of. He was the only person you allowed yourself to be completely vulnerable with. He never judged you for making terrible decisions or liking certain things.
Fez pressed his forehead against yours. ''You're the only one who really knows me too.'' You smiled. ''I'll get you a nicer one, though. My girl deserved fuckin' gold.''
"you tasted so good, i'm addicted" with fezco please?????
It’s not like you intended to screen his calls or block his number or anything like that, you were just busy and didn’t make yourself accessible after you decided to let your best friend go down on you. You could blame it on many things: boredom, curiosity, the weed—on his part, and you being drunk which brings out the hungry and the horny in your case.
You went ghost on a dude and Fez wasn’t fucking with that, especially since he was the first on multiple occasions to reach out to you. He didn’t forget what happened either and the fact that you just slid without bothering to discuss it was not sitting right with him. You were on his mind as the days went by and when you did reply to texts they were dry and sure fez didn’t say much in the first place but he couldn’t stand a dry text, not from you mainly.
So he pulled up on you one night when he knew you would be around after trying your best to avoid him.
“You’re on some real stalker shit you know that?” Ashtray let him know as he was getting ready to leave the house.
Fez didn’t want to hear anything his little brother had to say to him. All that mattered right now was you and getting some possible answers. “Shut up and pay attention to nan, I’ll be back whenever.”
It seemed as if you’ve been home for maybe a hour now and since Fez was staring real hard out in his green Nissan Pathfinder, he could see glimpses of you walking around in a towel and a tshirt wrapped around your damp hair. You paced the floor before you disappeared again and now had a missing shirt of his covering your body. It was clear you were looking down at something so Fez tried his luck further and called your ass, putting you on speaker.
His eyes burned through the glass as he watched you look up at the ceiling and sigh, letting the phone ring multiple times. Fez was ready to get out the car and run up but you finally answered.
“What’s up, Fez?”
It was Fez’s turn to look at his phone in disbelief, “wassup? Wassup with you, y/n? I didn’t think you existed anymore. Like you were suddenly a figment of my imagination or somethin’.”
You laughed—not to invalidate his feelings but this wasn’t like Fez. Usually he knew when to fall back and he wasn’t being clingy really, he was just concerned since you stopped coming around and hearing from you, which wasn’t like your friendship.
“Impossible. I’m the real deal, Fez. Act like you know, please.” You joked.
Fez chuckled, “alright then. Where you been? Just disappeared on me.”
“Right, sorry about that. School—
It was Fez’s turn to let out a breath, “let’s cut the shit, y/n. I don’t want to hear the lame shit.”
“…What was that lucky charms?” You wanted him to repeat himself because you clearly heard what was said.
Fez was frustrated, “coo you don’t want to be the first to address the situation, I’ll do it then. Weeks ago, yeah, weeks ago we got into it. Was it consensual? Please tell me ‘cuz I don’t ever want to be one of those fucked up people that just assume that it was—
‘Damn it, Fez.’ You thought to yourself as you paced your small living room again. He was making your heart beat even faster since the phone call started.
“It was! Completely. You don’t have to worry there.” You rushed out making Fez go silent, a small smile finding its way on his lips.
He slowly blinked as he asked, “then what do I have to worry about? and don’t lie to me over this phone if you can’t lie to my face.”
You don’t know who Fez thought he was talking to but you were feeling some thangs with the way he was laying it all out on the table.
“I just feel…unsure. I’ve been thinking it over and over if what we did would ruin our friendship.”
“So the typical cliché?”
“Oh, do you normally go down on your friends?”
Fez laughed.
“You’re a trip. The answer is no, only you.” He stated before carrying on, “I can understand why you thought that but it’s never crossed my mind because we’re so solid and usually just let things flow naturally between us.”
“And we usually don’t think things through which can lead to—
Fez cut you off since he needed to get his point across since you liked to let your head get in the way most days. “You tasted so good, I’m addicted.”
You almost choked at the way that sounded coming off Fez’s lips. Your legs clinched together as you had to hold yourself up against the wall. Your best friend got a taste and was being oh so bold to just say it. It’s what your other friends been saying, that he was sprung and attempting to contact you because he cared (and wanted more).
“W-what do you want me to do with this information, Fez?” You finally said after some time.
Fez shrugged his shoulders knowing you couldn’t see him, “whatever you want with it, I’m telling you how I feel so when you’re ready and know what you want…you know where to find me. Don’t make me wait another week, y/n.”
“Fine. I won’t.”
“Good.” He smirked before hanging up and starting his car which made you walk over to the curtains and peek out at his car pulling away from the curb.

♫ 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗯𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝘆 𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗿𝗼𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗼
the doors to the courthouse swung open as y/n tried not to fumble over her quickly moving feet, ignoring the calls coming from behind her. she could feel the tears start to burn her eyes, gripping the railing to the staircase as her parents followed after her.
i’m so insecure i think
that i’ll die before i drink
she tugged on the collar of the floral button up her parents forced her to wear, and sprinted down the stairs. everything in her life had felt like it was leading up to something. that all the bullshit she had gone through would be worth it, but in that moment, y/n didn’t believe that anymore. she crossed the sidewalk, full on running through the street and pushing whoever was in her way.
“y/n, wait!” her mother called, slowing down as she became more and more out of breath. her husband ignored her sudden stop and continued after his daughter, calling out her name. y/n was much faster than him, probably since he was a raging alcoholic and she had never taken a sip of anything harder than root beer.
and im so caught up in the news
of who likes me and who hates you
turning around to see how far behind her father was, she yelped at the sudden impact of a young woman crashing into her.
“shit, sorry!” y/n apologized, raising her hands up as the lady’s dog snapped into a rabid protective state, lunging at the girl despite being held back from the leash.
jumping off of the sidewalk, she continued running through the street and past the traffic. she ignored the countless honking of cars and continued towards the mall.
and i’m so tired that i might
quit my job start a new life
once she hit the parking lot, she held her hands to the knees of her dress pants, bending over and catching her breath.
“i’m not….built….for this much….running.” she panted, looking up to see a little girl and mother watch her, the woman’s arms filled with groceries. the once languid mother, was now clearly confused and maybe even concerned
“what are you looking at?! huh?!” y/n huffed, mocking them and turning towards the entrance of the mall, making her way to the big red bullseye logo.
she slowed down her pace, knowing that her parents couldn’t possibly be following her still. her shoes carried her past the countless aisles and customers, making her way to the back where the checkout line was.
a man who she hadn’t seen before, was working the register and watched as she cut in line in front of a little kid and his dad, multiple customers following after them.
and they’d all be so disappointed
cause who am i if not exploited?
“excuse me, yeah, yeah.” she cut the man off and looked the man up and down.
“you new here?”
“uh, yes?” he spoke with a spanish accent, obviously confused as to what was going on. y/n hummed and nodded her head before digging into the back pocket of her dress pants and dropping the keys on the counter.
“tell the boss that y/n quit.” she smiled, not even caring that she didn’t have the uniform to turn in. she was just done with everything, mentally and physically. turning to walk away, she stopped herself and spoke again.
“oh, and just a little piece of advice? don’t put the keys in your back pocket unless you like the feeling of little gnomes stabbing into your ass cheek.” the girl grinned, waving him off and heading back to the parking lot.
stumbling down the rows of cars, she stopped when she saw her dads. she knew it was her fathers car when she saw his head pop out from the front seat.
are you fucking kidding me?
“shit.” she spoke under her breath, bolting the other direction and once again, ignoring his calls.
i’m so sick of seventeen
where’s my fucking teenage dream?
her feet carried her once again towards the exit of the mall parking lot, before quickly skipping past the few cars that were passing by. she heard the confused chatter and honks among the vehicles, but waved them off and continued her sprint.
she picked up her pace once she reached the side of the road, the heel of her feet picking up dust from the dirt and grass she ran on.
if someone tells me one more time
‘enjoy your youth’ im gonna cry
she could feel the vibrations of her phone in her back pocket, mentally envisioning the amount of worried calls and texts she was receiving, but she didn’t care.
she lived a whole life doing what she thought was right, never feeling satisfied, but this—what she was doing right now— it felt right. it was exciting and scary, but deep down, she could feel that foreign tingling feeling that she had always craved. the feeling of freedom.
euphoria.
and i don’t stick up for myself
i’m anxious and nothing can help
she took in alive gulps of air, like she would lose oxygen at any moment. her knees were starting to hurt from running, but she liked the pain. the familiar urge to strip herself of everything had washed over her. she wanted to burn every item she had ever touched and blow away the ashes. if she had a pen and paper, she would have written a will, but this chase throughout traffic would have to do.
it was like if she destroyed all the evidence of her existence, it would be easier for her to disappear.
sure, her parents knew about her suicidal episodes and moments of pure adrenaline, but they could never sense it coming. she assumed they’d be prepared for it when they entered the courthouse, but clearly they weren’t since it was so easy for her to take off. as much as she’d hate it, she really should have been on a permanent house arrest.
“FUCK!” a man exclaimed, yelling at the girl to get out of the road. his car came to a quick hault, just a mere inches away from hitting her. her breath got caught in her throat as she realized the accident she could have just caused, multiple cars lining up behind him. she smiled for a second, taking in the view of the cars stopped ahead of her, before the ever-so-annoying ringtone of her phone startled her.
and i wish i’d done this before
and i wish people liked me more
grabbing the phone, she backed away from the cars so they could drive by. giving a breathless laugh, she waiting for the cars to speed up, tossing her phone into the traffic, watching multiple cars drive over it.
i fucking hated that phone anyways.
knowing that her phone was destroyed felt more freeing than she anticipated, picking up her pace again and putting a light skip in her step this time. she danced to the music that played in her head.
all i did was try my best
this the kind of thanks i get?
i’m relentlessly upset
you’d think that after being hospitalized nine times for attempted suicide, that y/n would have found a way to cope. something to drag her out of the darkness that she felt so enamored in, yet she hadn’t.
she pranced down the sidewalk, by a small store with flower pots outside of it and an old man in a blue cap, watering them. the hose was connected to a nearby fire hydrant and the man aimed messily, spraying a soft stream of water all down the concrete. y/n jumped in the small puddle of water, leaping out of the way of the fire hydrant.
they say these are the golden years
but i wish i could disappear
ego crush is so severe
it was ironic how y/n saw the beauty in life, only when she was mere minutes away from ruining hers. she’d only ever smile and genuinely mean it, when she would have her outbursts.
they all would start the same. she would feel suffocated, like someone had just stuck a helmet on her head, and her face would get all hot. she’d stand there, struggling to comprehend anything and ill to speak, before the anger would hit. the harsh red cloud would drag her out of whatever situation she was in, and would lead her to a pitch black demise of hopelessness.
it was the comfort of that familiar darkness that made her happy.
god it’s brutal out here
she was sick of pleasing everyone. sick of living a life for other people instead of herself. sick of watching movies and not being able to relate to the characters or hearing stories from kids in the halls about parties she wasn’t invited to. she was fucking sick of it.
she’d always felt like she was working towards something bigger, but time slipped from her fingertips and she found herself as a lost cause. all she knew was that if her life didn’t change sometime soon, she didn’t want it anymore.

FLASH FORWARD 6 MONTHS LATER
rubbing the black shadow and liner around the corners of her eyes, she momentarily forgot about the makeup caked onto her face as her feet swiftly maneuvered their way down the front steps of the house— feeling elliot’s presence behind her. she bit the top of her lip, holding in whatever amount of tears she could conceal.
“y/n, wait!”
i feel like no one wants me
and i hate the way i’m perceived
scoffing and shaking her head, she continued out into the front yard. her arms were bare and the pink butterfly tank top she wore was loose around the edges, her jeans hiked up and flared at the ends.
she could hear maddy and kat call out to her, telling the girl to come back. “girl, come on don’t let this ruin your day!”
“yeah, y/n! it’s your birthday!” kat stated.
“y/n!” elliot shouted louder, after the girl ignored his first call, grabbing her arm and tugging it towards him. she halted, wearing her heart on her sleeve and looking at him.
“screw my birthday! what’s the point of even being here if no one wants me here—“ her hair flipped as she swung around when the tattooed boy stopped her again.
“now, come on y/n, you know that’s not true.”
i only have two real friends
and lately i’m a nervous wreck
“elliot, the only two fucking people who i’m actually friends with are rue and maddy. cassie doesn’t want anything to do with me anymore and it won’t take maddy long to leave me too— plus rue is gone fucking awol and everything has turned to shit.” she took a deep breath, “no one wants me here.”
sniffling, she let out a small whine and turned to leave again. elliot skipped in front of her, putting his hands on her shoulders to make her look at him.
cause i love people i don’t like
and i hate every song i write
“you have me.”
“thanks elliot, but i’m not sure how much i fully believe that.” a tear rolled down her cheek and she let out a dry laugh, shoving him with her shoulder as she walked past him.
once she made it to the road, she glanced over to see multiple faces watching her in the window. closing her eyes, she tried to drone out all of the craziness that was piling up in her head.
“so what, you’re just gonna leave?”
“yup.”
elliot followed her down the street, a few moments passing before he spoke again. “you’re gonna leave—just not even pack anything or get a plan?”
y/n chuckled in reply, elliot a foot behind her and following her every move.
“just gonna run away from your problems, huh? how has that worked for you?”
“it worked pretty well until i met you.” she stated, her expression blank, not that elliot could see it anyway. she couldn’t see his reaction either, so she was oblivious to the way his face fell and heart broke at her words.
“what about the music?”
fed up, y/n turned around. “what about it?” she snapped.
“you’re just gonna leave it?”
“elliot, my songs are fucking garbage and it was stupid of us to even think that we could do something with it. all of my chances of succeeding in anything in my future, including a diploma, is out the window. i’m done.” she shrugged, turning back around and walking.
and i’m not cool
and i’m not smart
and i can’t even parallel park
“i have nothing going for me, elliot. my reputation is ruined and no one is gonna wanna be my friend after this, i’ve destroyed every relationship. i’m failing physics and i’m not fucking smart enough for honors history. i can’t pass my permit because i hit the goddamn gas too hard and can’t parallel park without spending hours trying to do it—“
“so what?!” he waved his arms up, noticing the girls feet stop walking and he stopped as well. he waited for her to turn to face him, and she did. her makeup was smudged and her eyes looked lost. everything about her was like a nightmare taking form in front of his eyes, and yet she was still gorgeous to him.
but god, did he hate seeing her like this.
“you don’t need to keep running anymore, y/n.”
“you sure about that?”

FLASHBACK SIX MONTHS
she made her way back to her place, after running multiple blocks and almost twisting her ankle— she was thankful that the courthouse was nearby her house. her plan was to pack up as much shit as possible and take it with her to a bus stop. what would happen after that? she had no idea. all she knew was that she was done with everything and refused to live another day of this life.
the only flaw in her plan was that she didn’t expect her parents to be there, standing on the porch, waiting for her. she assumed that they’d drive around some more in hopes of finding her and talking her out of whatever y/n was planning.
“fuck.” she swore under her breath, turning to run when her dads voice stopped her. she silently thanked him for speaking up, knowing that her legs were too sore to stand, let alone keep running.
got a broken ego broken heart
“y/n!”
“what?!” she whimpered, wanting the day to just end already.
“it’s gonna be okay. you aren’t gonna be staying here.” her dads words caught her off guard, and she looked over at her moms reaction to see if it was some kind of joke but her mother just nodded.
“what do you mean?” she looked at her mother, watching her adjust her blouse before walking down the steps towards her.
A/N: If you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know that this shit has been sitting in my drafts since the season 2 premiere and this bitch is STILL not done but it has some good scenes in it that I really want to share and this is one of them...so....enjoy :)

POV
“I—damn, I’m so…” She hiccuped, “Embarrassed.”
Fez immediately interjected, hands waving her off and everything, “Nah nah nah, none of that.”
Through the blur of her vision she watched as he moved from her flank to the sink across the floor, his hand grabbing at the drying towel on the hook before he turned the faucet on.
“Did you drink?”
In her mind the answer came to her instantly: hell yeah she drank, she had to have been up 4 shots by the time Fezco even showed up, and then the extra 5 that followed to build confidence. But when she tried to say it, to will the simple fucking word off her tongue it just wouldn’t come out. Instead what did follow was a deep gulp because now she was sitting thinking about what an idiot she was to mix brown and clear liquor and it wasn’t the best reminder to her stomach.
“Imma take that as a yeah.” He called back but it seemed to be more of a mumble to himself, still busying about with the sink.
Y/N nodded slowly, so as to not make her even more dizzy, before resting her head against the wall beside the toilet. She was fucked, she was so fucking fucked up.
The sound of the same pair of feet coming back towards her brought a sliver of comfort, even with her eyes closed, she was happy to know (or at least the part of her that was sober) that despite her current predicament it wasn’t scaring Fez off.
Bending down slowly the red head raised the now cold and damp towel to her forehead, pressing it against her clammy skin as gently as possible. She smiled
“Feels.. nice.”
“I know B.” He whispered, lowering the cloth down the side of her face to the crook of her neck, creating rhythmic movements of patting and rubbing. “Aye, but you gotta tell me all the shit you did tonight.”
Y/N groaned, pressing her head even further into the cold tile. Sober Y/N knew this information was important and that she needed to communicate it because she had never been in this scenario before but Fez clearly had and he wanted to help. On the other hand, fucked up Y/N was this close to vomiting again and it was definitely preventing her from wanting to open her mouth.
But Fezco was insistent.
“C’mon Ma, you not gon get no better if I can’t help you.” He mumbled back, pulling the towel off her neck and setting it at his side which only earned another whine from Y/N.
With a shaky hand placed over her eyes so as to think (and block out the bright ass light), the other one pushed her from the wall to sit up straight against the tub behind her. Doing her best to ignore the way her body rocked back and forth she sucked in a deep breath and contemplated.
“I…yeah, I smoked. C-Couple blunts with, friends.” It was a slow paced pack of words but Fez seemed to follow fine, his whole attention still wrapped up in her and only her.
“What else?”
“……Coke, did lines with…, Chrissy and M-Maria.” She breathed, the folds in her forehead rooted up high in her state of deep thinking.
Fezco nodded, “How many lines y’all do?”
It was at this point that she could feel all the energy in her body hitting the 5%-0% range, all of the talking and the thinking running her down almost instantaneously. So with what little strength she had left she slowly raised her hand to reveal two digits, praying that that would be enough.
“Okay okay, well you gon be fine but yo ass is definitely crossed right now.” Raising his hand he nonchalantly moved the loose strand of hair in front of her face and tucked it behind her ear, the heat of his fingertips lingering around the edge of her jawline as he seemed to..hover in that place for just a moment. Until he pulled back.
Sober Y/N made a note to remember that to the very best of her ability.
“You got the spins too and that shits not gon go away until you either finish yo business here in the bathroom and knock or if we sober you up.” He explained, finally sitting down on the floor across from her. “But imma be real with you, you not gon like either option. ‘Specially if this yo first time.”
“Wanna go home.” She whispered, head lulling over to rest on the cold porcelain of the bathtub, the only thing keeping her from slipping straight on her back to the floor. Though at this point that sounded a bit better, probably would feel even better against her damn clammy skin.
Though eyes nearly shut Y/N could see the way the amber hair angel watched her. There was pity in his eyes-- but not the kind that could tie a person’s guts into a knot from embarrassment, no, this was the kind of pity that showed concern, worry, care.
Fezco seemed to be contemplating as well, eyes going slightly blank as thoughts quite obviously ran behind them, even taking a moment to rub at the stubble of his beard.
“You want me to take you?”
“Yes.”
Probably the most coherent statement she had made in the past hour or so but there was nothing in her that needed any time to ponder over any other sort of options. She didn’t give a fuck about this party anymore, her insides felt like they were burning, the room was beginning to vibrate, and now she had the only person she wanted to show up to this shitshow tending to her.
Silence seemed to evade the bathroom in its entirety, and it was warm--comfy, a golden hue tinging the sound in a way that wasn’t describable but so familiar, as if they had sat and stared at each other a million times before..whether in this lifetime or maybe a previous one.
And as Y/N peered at him, holding the eye contact for just one moment more--like she wasn’t fucked up, like she wasn’t clutching every physical thing in her reach to stabilize her, like she wasn’t sweating not because of the alcohol but because the man before her might just be the most goddamn gorgeous person she’s ever seen, she swore, he smiled.
“Alright I gotchu.” Fez nodded slowly before tossing the wet rag into the sink above them and tucking his phone into his back pocket.

Your girlfriend hummed a mused ‘hmm’, taking a long drag off of the blunt. “You’re very cute when you’re high.” She passed the blunt to you. You responded with an upturned lip and narrowing of eyebrows.
Grabbing Rue’s wrist, you brought her hand close and connected your lips to the blunt. Your (eye color) eyes meet the brunette’s as you inhale. Pulling back, you leaned your head back. Exhaling, you watched the smoke dissipate into the night sky. “I… uh…” Rue cleared her throat before taking the last hit of the “devil’s lettuce” and putting the blunt out.
“Mm?” You looked towards her. “Sorry, you just…” She shook her head. “Never mind.” She held a hand up.
“Rue-Rue, did I make you uncomfortable?” You asked, furrowing your eyebrows. She quickly shook her head. “No... no. Not at all. I just didn’t expect it, ‘tsall.” She hurriedly explained.
“Turned me on, actually.” She followed up, quieter than the other part.
“Well, you have officially dubbed yourself as ‘roach clip’.” You teased, leaning into your girlfriend’s face. “Nah,’ she shook her head. “Call me by my name, pretty girl.” She licked her lips. “Yea?” You asked, “you gonna make me?”
“I think I just might.” She smiled a little, grabbing your hips. “I’ll make you say my name, and then some.” She whispered against your jawline. “Fuck…”
“Fuck is right, babydoll.”
summary: something that happened between elliot and y/n left her wanting more affection.
warnings: mentions of drugs!
more: based off the song “affection” by BETWEEN FRIENDS
affection. that’s all y/n wanted from elliot.
were you ever gonna tell him thats what you wanted? hell no. everyday you would go on as if everything was normal between you and elliot, but you both knew deep down everything wasn’t normal.
everytime elliot would speak or laugh you couldn’t help the smile that spread across you’re face which completely scared the fuck out of you.
you didn’t know what to do, but you sure as hell knew you could control how you felt and keep it inside you. of course you had plenty of meaningless hook ups and you didn’t have any strings attached afterwards.
you knew how to move on and continue on with your life. you were reckless and you loved it.
the other thing about you, is that you loved to do drugs, specifically weed but you would do whatever elliot did. you trusted him and you both always had a good time together.
you weren’t afraid of anything but the one thing you were afraid of was what you felt for him.
“yo y/n where tf did you go”
you quickly blinked a couple of times “to fucking mars. im listening tho so carry on”
elliot let out a small laugh as he continued talking to you and rue about a test he had in chemistry next period.
“ i don’t know why she’s such a bitch bro. i literally did the homework, not the way she wanted but the paper was still done”
even tho it seemed like you were fully paying attention
you couldn’t stop thinking about how you felt which made you blurt out, “ i have to piss so i’ll see you guys after this period”
before quickly walking away before anyone could say anything back.
