So, like. that scene in ep 9 where Ras beats Arin ass and then basically makes him an offer to take him in? yeah how we feeling bout that one gang?

That shit has been on my mind since I first saw it— It’s not that I think Arin would completely turn evil, but I am a firm believer that he will make some sort of very stupid mistake (aka helping Ras, or one of his minions, perhaps only in some small way) that is going to fuck up everything and make him feel even worse.

am I the only one who thinks about “evil” jay and “evil” arin too much

Idk how to explain it but actually a good duo . Ever since jay lost his memory every one is expecting him to be something else or do something for them without him having a word in the matter, meanwhile arin had stopped expecting anything from the ninja ( including jay because arin would probably still see him as a ninja ) and other than a “we’re are my parents” and jay either knowing or not , arin would actively not want or even not care about jay . Which could cause mixed feelings because apparently this kid knows who I am and he just … doesn’t care , and it’s a first ! I think I find it funny because I like to imagine jay being mad at whoever wanted to use him and arin is mad at the ninjas and he still sees jay as one , because he might not remember but he still is to him , but to jay this kid is the only one who doesn’t want him to be something he doesn’t even remember , so in a way he kinda cares for him . Idk I feel like it be fun to watch

This is probably not going to be canon but I’m allowed to dream

I kinda hope Ras takes a back seat in dragons rising s3p1 so we get to see more of Arin getting desperate for info about his parents. Like I hope he has to journey to be part of the action. I hope he keeps talking to the unconscious Ras and runs him through sorta insane plans about how stuff will go down. I hope he has nightmares about Sora and Lloyd. I hope he runs into the f5, and they just wave him off as a “weak child”

We all know Ras is manipulating Arin but what if Ras actually starts to care for him? What if Arin's sweet but awkward nature reminds Ras of who he used to be and he finds it shockingly endearing? What if they become actual unironic mentor and student? What happens when Arin feels more confident and powerful with Ras to the point where he prefers him to Lloyd? What happens when Arin's careful distrust of Ras breaks down?

What then?

Things have gotten really strange and unpredictable during the merge, but one thing i do know

Last night I couldn’t sleep and I wrote some Morro / Arin parallels.. so I’m rambling about them here

So in the final episode of Season 2, Sora was talking to Lloyd about Arin and said: “What if he doesn’t want to be found”

Flashback to the finale of possession, as Morro is getting pulled down by the preeminent, he tells wu: “You can only save those who want to be saved”

They’re basically saying the same thing, even if you switch the wording, it doesn’t change the meaning at all

I really wouldn’t be surprised if Arin says something along the lines of, “I don’t want to be found, Sora” or “I don’t need you to save” And since Morro is confirmed to be in season 3 of DR, I’m assuming there’s gonna be SOME parallels

Also, Arin following Ras when the F5 tried to take him could parallel Morro’s death in a way. How they both willingly ‘died’. Morro’s case was more literal, in the fact he ACTUALLY let himself die. But Arin’s ‘death’ was more of a mental thing. That he willingly killed the part of his mind that had full trust in the ninja
