Well I think the Minor family is supposed to represent a more stereotypical, almost gang-like, "low-class mafia" version of organized crime and you know just by a glance that they do the dirty work.

The major family is the business part of the organization where they are concerned in looking clean and totally legal in front of the law hence the polished and professional suits they all wear from the head to the bodyguards. They make sure people's eyes don't linger too long into what could possibly be behind all that.

A sort of business in the front party in the back.

It also shows that the Major and Minor Clans need each other like a mutualistic symbiotic relationship because if one started doing the other's duties, they would go down in an instant.

Gun and the Minor family are too rough around the edges, brutal, and severe to have kept up the empire for as long as Korn and the Major family has. But you also can't deny that Minor family wouldn't have lasted just on power, calculation, and wit for too long as well if someone wasn't doing their dirty work and covering up the more unpleasant and less than legal stuff the Major family does.

Ironic how they want to overpower one another. Both clans need each other to survive.
