Duri releases comeback solo single “Goodbye″

Knight’s Duri has made his solo comeback with the release of a new solo single. Duri last promoted as a solo artist in three months ago for the release of his single “Candy”, and has also promoted a group comeback with the mini-album RPM since. “Goodbye” is an emotional piano-driven power ballad about parting ways with someone. The music video shows Duri singing in cinematic locations, along with solemn scenes of actors. Duri is credited for writing and composing the song. “Goodbye” will be promoted on music shows for two weeks.

COLLA3ORATE releases “Cabi Song″, sponsored by Caribbean Bay

base’s COLLA3ORATE project has released the second special single for the project’s season 1.5 today. The second project release was executive produced by Gold Star Media, just like the first, and is sponsored by Caribbean Bay. This project single includes WISH’s Iris, Lucid’s Josie, Lipstick’s Ruby, Knight’s Duri, Alien’s San, and former Element member Sun among the performers. “Cabi Song” is a summer dance track. The project group will be holding a special mini-concert later this week on May 22 at Nodeul Island Live House.

SBS MTV has announced that Knight’s Duri, Lipstick’s Ruby and CHARM’s Dai will be the three new hosts of The Show.

This will be Ruby’s first time hosting a music show, while it’s Duri’s second time and Dai’s third. When asked about their selection for The Show’s MC team, SBS MTV stated that the chemistry between the three label mates was undeniable and would bring something new and exciting to The Show.

The first episode of The Show starring its three new MCs will air on Tuesday, March 2 at 18:00 KST.

Jeonghwa and Duri release Dimensions Portal song “Lil’ Something”

Lucid’s Jeonghwa and Knight’s Duri have collaborated to release a new single through Dimensions Portal. Duri last released music in February with the release of his latest solo single “Candy” and Jeonghwa most recently made a comeback with her group. “Lil’ Something” is a track flavored with touches of funk production about two people who have a “little something” between them. In the music video, Jeonghw and Duri play staff backstage at a fashion show while Duri shows interest in Jeonghwa and tries to get her attention. Duri is credited among the song’s list of lyricists, and he also composed the song.

Duri releases comeback solo single “Candy”

Knight’s Duri has made his solo comeback with the release of a new single! Duri last promoted solo last November when he released the mini-album Chocolate where he tried out a new sound from many of his previous releases. After three months, the vocalist is back with another new sound for “Candy”, which is an upbeat synth pop-R&B song. The lyrics, written by Duri himself, playfully compare his charms to different types of sweets. Duri will promote “Candy” on music shows for the next two weeks.

New mentor lineup for Hot Topic announced

The third mentor lineup for the currently airing survival show Hot Topic have been announced!

According to a new press release, Knight’s Duri and Aria’s Nina have been cast to help mentor the show’s contestants on their vocals, while CHARM’s Dowoon and Element’s Sun will be dance mentors for the position evaluations, and Knight’s Haon and Unity’s Jaewon will help the contestants with rap. They’ll appear in the episodes set to air January 22 and 29.

The popularity of Hot Topic has only risen in recent weeks as the show’s contestants increasingly gain attention and fans as the season approaches its halfway point.

According to reports, the mentors have all already filmed their appearances on the show.

Our Songs releases third round tracks

base TV show Our Songs has released the new tracks composed by the show’s cast for its third round on their website today! The songs will be uploaded onto all streaming sites in a week. The EP (Our Songs, Part 3: Written By, Not For) includes six songs created by the contestants for the third round of the show, but the songs are this time sung by guest performers instead of the competitors themselves. Voting has opened up on the show’s website for the public to vote for their favorite track. The voting will help to determine the winner of the show’s second round alongside audience votes.

Duri releases third solo mini-abum “Chocolate”

Knight’s Duri made his solo debut at the beginning of 2019 with a full-length album and has released two mini-albums since. The main vocal has now released his third mini-album in just over a year with Chocolate.

The release of Chocolate brings with it a new sound and concept mostly unexplored by the idol up to this point. In contrast to the romantic ballads Duri has become known for, Chocolate dabbles more in the realm of groove pop and electronic dance music more in line with the idol’s “30 Sexy” Portal release from last December. B-side tracks like “Piano” and “High Heels” offer a more theatrical and sensual take on alternative pop genres, while “Lie”, featuring Lucid’s Jaein, captures a trendy synth pop sound and “No Tomorrow” veers into guitar-led consolation as the album comes to an end. Duri wrote and composed all songs on the album’s track list.

The title track and first track off of the album “Chocolate” is a dance pop track and is also the promoted single off of the album. The track notably transitions from its dramatic verses and building pre-choruses into a more stripped-down hook, and the lyrics tell a story of brash sensuality. “Chocolate” will be promoted for a month on music shows.
