Mentor lineup for Hot Topic announced

The first two mentor lineups for the currently airing survival show Hot Topic have been announced!

According to a new press release, Unity’s Yul, Origin’s Joohwan, Impulse’s An, and Alien’s Chan will be appearing as mentors for episodes three and four, set to air January 1 and January 8. The four boy group members will help mentor the show’s contestants on performing one of their songs.

The mentor lineup for episode five, set to air January 15, includes BEE’s Charlie, Lipstick’s Hyeju and Artemisia, Decipher’s Taejin, Gal.actic’s Yena, Origin’s JJ, Impulse’s Siwoo, Silhouette’s Youngjoo, Fuse’s Sooah, and Lucid’s Jeonghwa. This group of mentors will mentor the contestants on a variety of topics following the first elimination taking place at the end of episode four.

According to reports, the mentors have all already filmed their appearances on the show.

The third mentor lineup for the currently airing survival show Hot Topic have been announced!

According to a new press release, Knight’s Duri and Aria’s Nina have been cast to help mentor the show’s contestants on their vocals, while CHARM’s Dowoon and Element’s Sun will be dance mentors for the position evaluations, and Knight’s Haon and Unity’s Jaewon will help the contestants with rap. They’ll appear in the episodes set to air January 22 and 29.

The popularity of Hot Topic has only risen in recent weeks as the show’s contestants increasingly gain attention and fans as the season approaches its halfway point.

According to reports, the mentors have all already filmed their appearances on the show.

[NEWS] New boy group survival show announced

It was announced early this morning that a new survival show will begin airing in December! The show, called Hot Topic (stylized Hot Topic(k)), will take fifty unsigned male trainees and have them compete against each other to form a boy group chosen with the nation as their producers.

According to their press release, Gold Star Media CEO Bang Sunyoung has been cast as the show’s host. Profiles of the contestants have already been uploaded to the show’s website ahead of the survival show’s first episode, which has been confirmed for December 18.

Some sources claim that famous idols will be appearing as mentors on the show, but representatives declined to confirm at this time and asked for audiences to wait for further news from them and to tune in on December 18.

Since it began airing in December, Hot Topic has lived up to its name and has become the latest pop culture craze. Though fifty boys were competing to debut in a final five member boy group, it had been kept a secret up until now what company they would be debuting under, with hints dropped at the end of every episode that have gotten fans increasingly curious about what company it could be.

It has now been revealed that the final Hot Topic boy group will debut under Gold Star Media, home of Origin and Impulse, two of the country’s top boy groups. The show is also hosted by Gold Star Media’s CEO Bang Sunyoung.

According to a spokesperson for the show, the name of the group will be announced along with the final lineup on the live finale on February 26.
