Okay, so there's something I need help with, which keeps confusing me a lot. If you haven't watched "Ultimate Note" yet, please, there are a few spoilers ahead, turn back, or thread forward with caution. So, it's like this, "The Lost Tomb 2" says Chen Wen Jin led the archaeology team to the sea tomb of the Paracel Islands and that was where they went missing. Now, "Ultimate Note " also says Chen Wen Jin led the archaeology team to Banai, where some of them were killed by Pan Ma, but were immediately replaced. After which "It" also took control of them and they ended up at the sanatorium, and have been missing since. And there, they were kind of experimented on. I am confused. Are they two different expeditions? I used to think they were, but rewatching "The Lost Tomb 2", I am not so sure anymore. Someone, help?
qiu dekao funny af for showing up at the heavenly palace dressed like he couldn't decide whether he wanted to cosplay indiana jones or a cowboy so he just settled for both 😭
look at this smug motherfucker who couldn't let his gear get in the way of his outfit,,, he decided the cowboy hat wasn't enough, he had to add in the neckerchief to really complete the look 😭😭
Daomu Biji fans, I'm here again with another question:
After watching Time Raiders (2025; native title: 吴邪私家笔记; lit.: Wu Xie's Private Notes), I realised that the storyline seemed to be generally sharing the similar plot as The Lost Tomb (2015; native title: 盗墓笔记) and the first half of The Lost Tomb II (2019; native title: 盗墓笔记2). In short, the plot where they went to the Seven Star Lu Palace and the Underwater Tomb.
Yet however, I heard that they were both actually adapted from different novels? In fact, I have noticed some (slight) differences arising from each TV series adaptation, so is it just because of the variation on the adaptation of the canon storyline (that is, the alteration of the storyline by the production team of the TV series) or it's actually true that they are all adapted from different novels?
I'm not familiar with the novel as a TV series fan, but I'm rather curious of the reasons behind the slight differences among the adaptations, so do enlighten me if you can 🧐

Doubt is to constantly suspect Chu Zhao (Zhang Kang Le) and Xie Huai An (Cheng Yi) to have concealed their fighting abilities throughout the series.
Due to their sturdy portrayals as Xiao Ge in Explore with the Note (Cheng Yi) and Adventure Behind the Bronze Door (Zhang Kang Le).
Featuring potential hints from Chu Zhao appearing as if he's about to directly face-off the undercover Wutuo soldiers, and Xie Huai An's skillful jump over the wall upon escaping the scene.

My favorite part of Lost Tomb 2 is Zhang Qiling in episode 1 in disguise as a loud, overly-familiar, balding, middle-aged man, just yelling his ass off all over the place.
Because it means that in the canon of this story, Zhang Qiling is capable of imitating annoying old men, and I choose to believe that he is just mentally like "This is how all humans speak and act."
But also the way "Consultant Zhang" clings to Wu Xie and Pangzi immediately like "HELLO NEW BESTIES"... and then refuses to let go of Wu Xie's hand until well after it gets awkward (probably so Wu Xie can feel that two of his fingers are too long and he'll realize it's Zhang Qiling but still).
