My favorite eyeduo headcanon is that they both have Isla's face.

From far away, they both strongly resemble their godly parents. But once you get close, they're practically identical and there isn't even a shadow of a doubt that they're brothers.

How Icarus’ reaction was to jump back and question it, because for Icarus that armor wasn’t always a threat

It became a threat overtime as ominous bane became more toxic and their desperation for Enderian’s approval intensified, but it hadn’t always been a sign of danger for them

At one point it had been a sign of their power

A sign not to mess with any of them or there would be consequences

A sign they had been somewhat used to seeing, even if it had been a very long time since they had last seen it

Regarding Eye Duo, I think Rae still believes he can save Icarus from Fable. However, I think Rae has not yet realised quite how far Icarus’ head is up their own ass

This can go one of two ways, either a fight where sins of their sires is fulfilled or, Rae just ends up kidnapping Icarus to get them away from Fable

Definitely don’t imagine Isla singing Lesson Number One (yes from Mulan 2) to baby eyeduo, trying so hard to instill in them that they need each other to make it once she’s gone, that it’s okay to be scared of things and grow and change but still be firm in your morals and inner strength.

Definitely don’t think about baby Icarus latching on to the “like a rock/unafraid” verse, having been raised and groomed by Fable to be a soldier and rule one day; baby Rae latching onto “at peace with your self/it’s okay to be afraid,” growing up constantly worried and scared but trying to put on a brave face and go with the flow. Both of them struggling to find balance, struggling to depend on each other as they get older.
