Happy November everyone!!!!!
How you all doing? I love November for me it’s the perfect month the nights get darker, the weather gets colder, the layers get thicker and London gets lit up with all it’s Christmas and festive lights. For me I practically consider the pre-Christmas month since everything gets so much festive and cheerful in London. But before we start enjoying November I wanted to look back to October and what products I used and new products discoveries.
Throughout October I mainly used two face primers the first being my trusty drugstore option which is the Concealer & Fix Matify Primer by Revolution costing £8.00, this primer never fails me and always makes my makeup last without getting oily. My highend option I’ve also been using is Porefessional Primer by Benefit £22 , this primer focuses more on blurring pores and helps find imperfections. In a normal routine I’ll either use both primers mixed together or pick one depending on the day but both have not failed me so far.
In terms of my actual facebase I have been using 2 products almost consistently throughout the month those being my Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation £34.00 and my Revolution Concealer & Define Concealer £4.00. I got the foundation as a birthday gift from the girls at work which is so sweet and it’s honestly become my favourite highend foundation it gives me flawless coverage, keeps me matte for ages and leaves my skin feeling so smooth. My Revolution concealer is something I have always had in my makeup bag since I think they first released the concealer if I’m honest. I love the coverage, I love how affordable it is and most importantly I love how it blends with all my foundations regardless of the product. For setting powder it’s no surprise my Fenty Beauty Invisimatte Powder £24.00 is in this picture I have been obsessed with it for months and it honestly keeps my face matte for so long it’s unreal. I also have a drugstore option which is the Revolution Matte Powder £5.00, this powder is definitely a more affordable dupe on my Fenty powder but these powders have a much bigger range of colours so it can give you a little tint of colour. I also wanna give my Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Setting powder a little shoutout this month I tried the lavender shade and so far I’m loving it, sets my face perfectly without caking me out.
For highlight and contour I have been using a mixture a brands. For bronzing and contour I have been using my trusty Benefit Hoola Lite bronzer £24.00 to help define my cheek bones and give me a bit of colour. This is probably the only bronzer I can use that actually suits my pale complexion and it’s a miracle I finally found a product that works for me. For highlight I’ve gone back to my favourite are Revolution highlight costing £3.00, this highlighter is a mixture of gold and pink tones and also helps add some more dimension to my face. To keep the theme of glow, I have been using my Fenty Gloss bombs religiously to give my makeup a bit of dimension and shine while the weather has been so dull. It’s been so fun using my new Gloss Bombs from the Glossy Posse Mini Gloss Bomb Collection £34.00.
Lastly let’s chat eyes. My first fav actually goes back to the Revolution Concealer, this concealer makes the perfect base for eyeshadow. It really helps the pigment of the eyeshadows show and last much longer, I find it makes product last as long as a eye primer would normally. Next we have to chat about Blood Sugar £48.00. This palette is so iconic and was honestly worth the hype, the colours are beautiful and perfect for this time of year especially. I’ve only recently got this palette so I’m still testing a few bits out but overall so far I’m obsessed and in love. (And side note the Jeffree Star x Shane Dawson collection comes out today and I can’t wait to get my hands on those palettes). Last product of the this favourites is Mascara. Last month or the end of September (who can remember) I picked up a mascara from Primark for £2.50/£3.00 and since then I keep going back to it. It’s brilliant it gives your eyes the perfect amount of volume without giving you thick spider lashes. It’s also quick and easy to get off without hurting your eyes which is always a plus.
And there we have it folks my October favourites! I hope you enjoyed reading this post and if you made it to the end without getting bored then more power to you.
