So I really am going to sit down and blog about my shiny new marathon PR, painstakingly going over the miles to let you know the highs, lows, annoying pacers, and calf cramps of it all. But I’ve been thinking a lot about progress... • The last marathon before I started this past training cycle was the Dallas Marathon, where I was injured in my left butt, 20 pounds too heavy, and really not enjoying running very much. I took a month off from running, got my training and eating plans together, and progressed to looking forward to the workouts on the plan and my fastest marathon ever. (And even more horrible yet awesome race photos.) • If you’re not finding running very fun anymore, don’t give up. Take a break, regroup, get some dinosaur shorts, and try a different approach—and then you’ll probably see some progress...and running can be fun again. • Thus ends my sappy post. Enjoy whatever it is I’m doing in the second pic, which was taken around the 14 mile mark...I’m probably so drunk on running I’m trying to give the race a hug. • • • • • #facetiouslyfit #fitfam #fitnessjourney #fitspiration #marathonrunner #womensrunningcommunity #runnerscommunity #runnersofinstagram #runblogger #runnerswholift #runnerswhobike #glasscitymarathon #runalltheruns #justdothething #runallthemiles #runglasscity #progress #weightlossjourney https://www.instagram.com/p/Bw-cK-oBKb4/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=ghmndkenjsuf
