When Odysseus kills a bunch of people for his son, it’s fine, but when I, Poseidon,
One thing that I haven’t seen people talk about yet is Morgan Dudley’s Flowers. I haven’t seen a video, but I have heard the audio, and holy shit that woman can put so much emotion into her voice.
The first part, when she’s lamenting her choice to go with Hades, she sounds like she’s nearing a breakdown, and you can hear the almost crying in her voice. She’s desperate and mourning her own life, and can you ever hear it. And the buildup to the emotional part???? Flawless.
The second part is also incredible, starting at “Flowers, I remember fields of flowers”. She sounds like she was spiralling, but then she thought of her world and of Orpheus, however little she could remember of it, and the memory dragged her out of the spiral. She then slowly becomes more and more resigned to her fate, still mournful, but more in a tired, given up way.
In conclusion: holy shit this woman can sing and act.
Assorted Dead Poets Society headcanons
•Todd wears either bad tasting nail polish or nail strengthening polish to stop himself from biting his nails.
•Meeks has a dog at home, probably a Bernese mountain dog who absolutely adores him.
•Neil gets his love of theatre from his mother, who took him to see plays when he was little.
•Charlie auditions for the play the year after Neil dies, as a way of keeping him in his heart.
•Neil and Todd have late-night conversations about whatever’s on their sleep-deprived minds. Sometimes it’s stuff like “dinner felt off today, they must have added some salt or somethinf” and sometimes it’s the hard stuff, like “sometimes I think I’ll never be good enough". They never discuss these in the light of day.
•Cameron reads sci-fi and fantasy as an escape from reality. If you need to find him, he’s usually in his little corner of the library thats practically reserved for him, studying or taking a well-deserved break.
•Speaking of breaks, none of them know how to take them properly.
•As a kid, Knox dreamed of being a knight in shining armour like in fairy tales. Sometimes, he would be saving a princess (or prince), sometimes he would be fighting a dragon alongside his fellow knights.
•Meeks’ dog likes Pitts just a bit more than Meeks, and hes so salty about it. This dog will nearly knock Pitts over every time he visits, out of excitement.
Ok what is the amazing digital circus even about. It keeps showing up on my dash. Who put it there
I just realized something.
Remember when Rumi and Jinu were fighting in the bathhouse, and both trying their best, and Rumi got the upper hand?
And remember after the huntrix breakup, when Rumi shoved him and he barely moved, and she basically pushed herself away from him instead?
In the first one, he only pushes her off when her patterns show, since she’s too scared and startled to keep fighting.
In the second, she’s too scared and broken and betrayed to even fight in the first place.
Every time I get a note on this post I will take a sip of water
