It's supposed to be an OC but I've asked a lot about Vee recently, and, using your idea for this one -- once we've written in the POV of an NPC, they kind of become an OC after a fashion -- give us 10 random details you'd like to share about your fic universe's version of ... *rolls dice* Teldryn! (: Can be anything at all, whatever you want to share from back story things to how he speaks, details in Fine Print we may have missed, character "design," screenshots -- whatever you've got that you would share :D

Ha! Ok, let's give it a whirl. Under the cut for extra skippability but I'll add his disreputable mug here.

Not technically a "design" but it is a resculpt. If you, like me, spent years playing on Oldrim/LE, his sculpt is quite a bit different between the two games (some other NPCs too, to be fair) and I was getting major uncanny valley when I switched to SE especially with an ENB running over it. Not anything as bad as Zevran's cameo in later DA games, but more like Varric in DA2 vs DAI -- the facial proportions changed, and hence the overall look did too. Not that the LE look is "objectively" better, I just got used to his hatchet face, so tried to replicate it.

Now some fun facts about how I write him and maybe some extra unsolicited nonsense.

When I started Fine Print, I wanted to answer 3 main questions: (1) who's the mysterious Nord patron; (2) how did Tel meet St Jiub, and (3) why does he sound like a damned libertarian half the time lol. (On 3, he's not alone, other NPCs have similarly flavored dialogues about autonomy, especially Erandur). The story tried to answer all 3 in an interconnected way, and I ended up with developing Undnar and a much more lore-heavy not to mention longer story than I originally intended.

In my version, Tel's a smoker -- though hopefully for lore-plausible reasons. I HC that not all alchemical formulas are ingested via the gastrointestinal track lol

He's got a fairly unique prosody and syntax, so working backwards from his dialogues and banter to build up on his linguistic tics was one of my favorite things to do, not to mention a fun writing exercise.

Learning CK/papyrus was one of my pandemic hobbies, so I got a good look at the back-end of the game, and here's a fun little tidbit: Tel's dialogues live on a quest/dialogue branch called "DLC2DialogueHirelings" or something along those lines, which is a sort of framework branch, much like FollowerDialogues. But afaik he's the only one on there -- which tells me that we were maybe meant to get more hirelings/followers out of the DLC but the devs ran out of time or steam.

On a similar note, a lot of the dialogues I now associate with Tel and wrote into the fic (for example his frequent use of "partner") are actually an artifact of running the Teldryn Serious mod, and a testimony to how well it's built. I didn't realize those were technically Ralis's voice assets until quite a bit later lol

The DLC2DarkElfCynical voice bank is a lot of fun to crawl through (some real gems in there). The VA (Don Donohue) has pretty incredibly range when it comes to impersonating very different characters. And on that note, playing Fallout 4 will give you whiplash. Have High Confessor Tektus (and now you can't unsee it, or rather unhear it mwahahah)

Finding a new favorite song is so weird. You heasitantly put it on once, then within 24 hours you make all your friends listen to it, add it to playlists, test it on every speaker and headphone set you have access to and your brain gets a Fallout-Style pop-up informing you that you have become addicted to Paris Paloma's Knitting Song.
