TBH I've never been particularly fond on how Bethesda had chosen the aesthetics of America's pre-war military. Granted, the way Bethesda designs ( or writes ) anything involving "military" doesn't usually pan out well.

Personally, I would have gone more with Cold War ( maybe Early GWOT ) aesthetics.
