How I hate it when a character who was clearly aroace (Or self-aromatic or asexual) is suddenly turned allysexual because, to quote, "She needs to find that one person who will fix her"
And the people? They will explain that "She just wasn't ready", or "She was traumatized, so that doesn't make her aroace"…
The fandom will defend this fiercely instead of understanding why this trope is fucking disgusting
Not every character has to end up in a relationship and be "Fixed", the way the fandom perceives it and how the creators themselves show a big problem in pushing aroace people away from spaces that they "accept" and are supposed to be "safe for them", which is why making Elsa a lesbian should be considered a problem, because it is this trope, but it is one of many and that is the worst
Either we have creators who have to force a hetero ship, or creators who show the middle finger to aroace people and make the character gay, because, to quote: "They want to create representations by taking something away from the less represented"
I hate that the fandom defends and accepts it, especially since they themselves belong to discriminated groups that have had no representation for years, so it makes it look worse (Like gays who hate transgender people, or transgender people who hate non-binary people…), because they literally know what it would feel like if someone made a ship with a lesbian, where they would put a straight ship, fandom he would be pissed, but if they do it with aroace, they will justify it at every turn
Anyway, compare it to the KOG drama where the fandom called Dana Terrance a TERF because she answered a question that Frankie wasn't transgender, you know what else they did? They harassed the creator, and when they were addressed it was with the texts "You have to listen to transgender women", the funny thing is that no one listens to people as much as they talk about this shit and people trivialize it, interesting, right? A lot of aroace at least didn't harass the creator because of headcanon and yet we get treated like shit, but when literally the KOG fandom did this, the fandom was like "Okay, they're right to be mad because trans women aren't represented like that" and it's like: WTF?
We're supposed to put up with this shit, but you can literally abuse the creator who supports us with impunity? That's fucked up!
The fandom will literally defend acephobia and arophobia, but will literally harass the creators if their headcanon doesn't come true and we have to be quiet or they will throw us into "Purity" or some other shit (The funny thing is that a lot of aroace like gore, so that makes this term just for the purpose of discrimination and justifying it), we can't even say that we don't like gore likes that aroace representation is being erased, either by the fandom or the creators, because the fandom thinks that only trans and gay exist (Because bi is also treated like shit… And non-binary is not recognized by them as a part of them…)
The fandom only sees transgenderism and same-sex relationships, other queer people mean nothing because they are "not consistent with their vision" and that's why it's frustrating, because the fandom is supposedly queer, but it already rejects people rejected like them because they consider them as "It doesn't matter because they are in the +"
We either have gays rejecting trans people and people with +, or trans people who say they are victims, but will treat aroace and non-binary people like shit, will try hard to dismiss their struggles because they believe that "They don't have it as bad as us and are more privileged" which is fucking sick, because all queer people experience the same shit, some just want to be part of the oppressors, because they think they will be accepted…
A lot of queer people don't groan like you because people like you silence them and tell them that "They don't have it that bad and that they're exaggerating", that's why a lot of people don't talk about their shit and you assume that they don't have it as bad as you because you fucking silenced them?
It's simply a rant against the entire fandom, against the creators who create this stupid trope and the entire LGT (Because, as I mentioned, bi and people with + are often rejected in fandoms, bi is only accepted when dating a person of the same gender, otherwise it does not exist in the fandom)
What's happening in the fandom and in the work itself should be a red flag, but it seems that it only cares when a gay character turns into a straight character, or a transgender character becomes cisgender…
