Those 10 (nope, can't think of that many) 6 rarest of Unicorns! The OTPs that made me actually jump ship.
I am not a multi-shipper (all the power to those who are, I'm jealous of you, I'm just really not capable of it) and mostly I'm pretty faithful to the ships I do ship. But once in a blue moon, the impossible happens and an OTP hits me straight out of the left field.
Here's those special little unicorns.
Shocking, I know. But I actually didn't ship it in season 1 or first half of season 2. My Emma crackship was actually Mad Swan. And then The Cricket Game happened, and Emma chased after Regina when she left the diner and it was so awkward, and genuine, and touching, and sweet that I jumped ship without so much as looking first.
These two also got me invested rather late. It was actually Let's Kill Hitler that finally did it. Until that point I loved River Song, don't get me wrong, but I didn't ship her with the Doctor. I was actually still pining over Doctor/Martha (not the ship you were expecting?). Now, I'm still pining over the Doctor getting their wife back (which is why I haven't really been interested in any of the new Doctor ships).
Klaroline caught me unaware from the word go and stole me right from under Forwood's nose. I still feel a bit bad about it. But the chemistry.
The one time I actually moved to the ship they wanted me to move to. Cuz in the beginning I really wanted Nick to get back together with Nancy. But as soon as his story with George started, I was seated (unfortunately this was a thing they only pulled off just the once, I remain to this day completely uninterested in Nancy and Ace, which is somewhat annoying every time I try to catch up with the back half of this show. Also, I heard they broke Fanson up, and I'm not about that life).
There's no remaining evidence of this because it precedes my Tumblr life. But. I actually shipped Kahlan and Richard in s1. Which is extremely weird to me on reflection because I can't imagine rooting for anyone other than her and Cara now. If memory serves right, then I think I might have jumped ship straight during the episode where Kahlan finds out Cara killed her sister (it's a very complicated relationship, okay?).
OK, there's one other ship I was meant to move to and actually did. Willow and Tara. Absolutely a formative influence. But before that I actually adored Willow and Oz (still do on every re-watch, which makes them quite unique as one of the even rarer Unicorns where I actually do multi-ship).
