I don think they made Weiss be more racist so much as they made her racism be more obvious and didn't just have her get over it completely off screen. She said it was fine but the fact the Grimm still came after her for that means she was just trying to burry it and not move on. Like agree to disagree and such.

The other thing they did is not have the other characters be wishy washy about her racism, but instead called her out on it. Instead of yang just saying "I don't know if that's exactly true" she just outright calls her out for acting like a bigot. And when Weiss cries about the situation Yang just sucks surprised and annoyed like "seriously?"

Like, it's just so much better. I hate how there were people who honestly didn't think Weiss was racist, not that she suddenly turned not racist off screen and post V1, but ones that believed that Weiss was never racist ever. Volume 1 mishandled how people reacted to Weiss racism and made it apparently way to subtle for some randos, so I'm glad at least they fixed that much.

I still don't like that they story is going to apparently center Weiss's feelings rather Blake's, but at least I'll give them this much.

Also the fact the Time Skip is actually a nightmare made by Weiss totally explains why Blake has more animalistic features, like a tail and paws. . . Which, like holy shit Weiss, wtf. That's pretty fucked girl.

Oh boy Marrow does NOT look on board with this. He looks like he’s in so much pain, like he’s about to make a choice he knows will hurt.

See, Marrow has been consistently salty about Faunus relations, has a fairly close relationship with Robyn’s crew and clearly respects them, AND has been treated like a pet by his team all volume... and now, this.
