An Italian farmer with his hen, Ivana. Once a month they have to give her a haircut, otherwise she's blind and wanders around the hen-house like a drunk, bumping into trees or wasting hours pecking at pebbles thinking they're insects. 🐔

New flash!!
I’m updating some old flash sheets with some new designs in a new format, because I’m also updating my booking methods for tattoos! An announcement about that will follow soon :)
My books are still open for February, and will open for March and April soon!
a funny little man in a sweater set up a farm for himself. I love the flag, I think it's German, but it's just lovely. Spectacle Island is really doing well for itself in this lifetime.
CALL TO ACTION: Black urban farmer Jeffery Webb has been repeatedly harassed in his town, and as a result both his livelihood and life are at risk. We need to be supporting black farmers now more than ever, as key members of the community providing an essential service to it!
Since Tumblr hates links, I’ll reblog this post with the gofundme link. I’ve also attached an image of his farms Facebook page - even if you can’t donate, give them support. Let the town know there’s eyes on them, and let the Webb’s know that they are seen and supported.

about 10 hours hand sewing later and you too can have a brand new 19th century farmer's shirt :) I made this shirt this week and I LOVE how it turned out. It's constructed with just rectangles measured to my body, and it's really easy to sew with just a running stitch and a felling stitch. I have recently gotten in to handsewing garments and i looove how peaceful and slow it is. I rarely do something intentionally slow and tedious so it's nice for a change.
The inspiration was 18th-19th century style men's shirts, and this striped linen felt very ~authentic~ to that time period, as well as the location, Sweden! I love wearing neutral colours and i do indeed love a stripe so it was perfect for this. It's basically bernadette banners pirate shirt, but not as gathered, and not the same neckline.
The button thread loops are a bit rough, but I do think it's decent for my second attempt at them. The collar of the shirt is just the top of the front and back pieces hemmed, not a hole cut out or anything, meaning that the neckline is pretty high. I like this style, but I'll be trying something different next time I make a shirt like this. This isn't period at all, just a style I like
I have realized that I want my wardrobe to look like I am a working class farmer from the Swedish countryside in the 1800's, and this is a good step in that direction! If you google the film "utvandrarna 2021" and see what they're wearing- yeah basically i want to look like that lol ----Peak farmercore----
