Hey guys! I’m introducing two new monster types! The dream-eaters and the groundbogs!
Dream-eaters:
The dream-eater is a medium sized monster typically standing between 5-6’5 feet tall. It is bipedal with more feminine humanoid body proportions. The head is bulbous and contains one large eye and no other facial features like ears, noses or mouths. They also have longer thin necks. What really makes the monster stand apart though is that its torso is split by a large toothy mouth. The top half of the body magically seems to hover above the bottom half. Dream-eaters come in a large variety of skin and hair colors with blues and purples being the most common. The magic/exto color is displayed in its eye and mouth.
The large mouth of the dream-eater is used for almost everything; eating of course, speaking, temperature control, a sense of smell and hearing, and breathing. Dream-eater monsters never wear clothing that covers their mouths. You can tell how warm or cool a dream eater is by how far apart the mouth is. If it’s fully closed, they’re a bit cold, if it’s a foot away (the maximum) they’re a bit hot.
Dream-eater monsters are known for being very honest. They’re one of the rare monster types that only display mental magic affinities, and struggle to truly turn their abilities off. This means that while they constantly do surface scans of the emotions of others around them, they’re also projecting their own feelings unable to hide lol.
Every dream-eater has the species ability of being able to enter the dreams of another sleeping creature if they are touching them. They can inflict psychic damage, or help repair damage while in another’s dreams. Their bodies are left vulnerable to attacks when in this state however. This ability has made many take up healing professions. Therapists and doctors are common professions for these monsters
Dream-eaters are only found in outertale, outerswap, gastertale and undertale. No record of a dream eater has ever been found in any fell AUs but some other AUs have records of these monsters as a subspecies that died out. Dream eaters tend to have weaker magic than other subspecies, so cross species soulbonds rarely result in dream-eater babies
Groundbog:
The groundbog is a small to medium sized monster standing from 3’6 -5’8 feet on average. They are round and sturdy looking with a terracotta colored skin that some say feels a bit like fired pottery with more give to it. The groundbog will grow a mossy like fur on its head, shoulders, neck and down its back. The fur is incredibly dense and can be shaped easily. It always comes in on the green and brown color spectrum. Magic/ecto color is displayed in the eyes, mouth, finger and toe tips and the two large circles on the groundbogs cheeks
Groundbogs are common monsters, found in every au. While they aren’t as numerous as bunny monsters, they are still one of the larger subspecies population wise. The aus with the most of these monsters are lamiatale and Drakefell while the AUs with the least to no ones surprise are the birds
Like the name suggests, these monsters are known for their earth affinities, but fertility, metal and rarely poison affinities have been recorded too. The monsters are a healthy bunch and are great jacks of all trade by being both sturdy, well paced and good at small detail work as well.
Groundbogs are friendly monsters by large and known for their incredible patience. They’re quite popular among rougher subspecies being tough enough to handle their aggressive friends, and chill enough to not be scared off.
Groundbogs have very specific beauty standards for their own kind that’s all completely centered around their moss like fur. The thicker the better, and fast growing fur is preferred as the “in” looks for how you shape it is constantly changing
And now to introduce the new babes!

Izzy Wizzletee:
Izzy is a taller dream-eater standing at 6’1. They have an aqua hair and skin and bubblegum pink magic. They’re aged only 18. They are from undertale
Izzy is rather sarcastic monster with dry biting humor. Izzy loves structure and competency and is very organized. Their biggest pet peeve are procrastinators lol. Izzy’s been proven to have great instincts and reactions in an emergency after a rather scary event after school.
Izzy is currently still a high school student set to graduate next year with most other monsters their age. Izzy isn’t sure what profession they want to go into but is certain that they would prefer a more secretarial job over a healers job like their parents lol.
Things they love: magical girl anime, color coded folders and bookshelves, numbers and algebra, strawberry flavored sodas and smoothies, escape rooms and puzzle boxes, the color pastel yellow
Skeletons (and others) they know: papyrus, sans, alphys (cousin), undyne, Star
Gulliber stump:
Gulliber is a smaller groundbog standing at 4’7. He has a nice orange magic and moss green fur. Gulliber is proud of his au, farmswap, and really embraces the culture of it. He is middle aged, at 347 years old.
Gulliber is a joyful and loud groundbog. He greets every one who steps foot in his store with open arms and is quite popular in the little town of wheatilly. He’s a lover, not a fighter, but he does have a tastes for fighters as seen with the two monsters he has as soulmates lol. A buff bugbear wife and an even buffer tree golem wife. Gullibers greatest love in life is spending time with his grandkids and managing his little shop
Gulliber lives in wheatilly and owns a small but thriving feed supply store. He makes and sells feed for livestock, poultry, pets and even fish feed for some of the hatcheries up in the mountains. It’s smelly but good and honest work.
Things he loves: his soulmates, kid and grandkids, fresh produce, trout and freshwater fish, fishing, gossiping, wrestling, his pet gremlin, the color olive green, lemonade
Skeletons (and extras) he knows: rancher, peaches, (nephews) Rosemary and Yosemite (in-laws), pitch, ram
Baldur:
Baldur is a young bugbear aged only 30 and standing 9’7 feet tall. He has a blue grey fur and a deep red magic/ecto. He files off the claws of his hands. He is from underfell.
Baldur when around people he trusts is eager, goofy and incredibly caring. When with strangers he’s aloof and snappy. He has the famed temper that bugbear monsters are known for of course. Right now however, Baldur is just worn down. He recently got custody of his late brother and sister in laws daughter and is struggling to adjust to being the caretaker of a toddler human girl. He and Eva are making it work though.
Baldur was previously an apprentice at a rather prestigious steak house in ebott city, but left to get a better paying job in the foot guard so he can support his niece easier. He misses his old job but is sure he’ll have another chance once Eva grows up.
Things he loves: his niece, a good medium rare steak, fried mushrooms, barbecue, fighting people on Yelp who dare leave bad reviews for his favorite food places, paw patrol (the shows grown on him), sparring, basketball, the color black, goth music lol
