Fashion revolution week is upon us. This year we are spreading awareness about the movement that is calling for a fairer, safer, cleaner and more transparent fashion industry by observing a day of silence. The Rana Plaza collapse was a structural failure that occurred on 24 April 2013 in the Savar Upazila of Dhaka District, Bangladesh. An eight-story commercial building named Rana Plaza, containing a huge garment factory, collapsed in just 90 seconds killing 1,134 people and harming a further 2500, who were making clothes for fast fashion brands.
