"what in the world was that!?"

you crossed both of your arms in front of your chest, staring at your boyfriend. he was still trying to calm himself down a little, taking deep breaths, but it didn't seem to work. 

"you saw how that guy was looking at you. he was practically undressing you with his eyes! do you think i can just stand there and watch?"

jeritza voice sounded more like a low growl than anything else. he was behaving like a wild animal anytime a guy would do so much as even look at you. you loved him, but it was getting too much! 

"you have to stop being like this!" you hissed. 

"you think i can? you think i enjoy being like this!? that i enjoy getting this worked up when i see another man looking at what is mine! every time someone looks at you, i want to rip their heads off–"

you sighed and stepped closer. 

"that's the problem! don't you trust me? do you think i'm too weak to defend myself? or is that you think i'd replace you with someone else?"

jeritza went quiet, averting his gaze from you. you cupped his cheeks, making him look at you. his eyes were still filled with hatred. but not for you. never for you! 

"y/n…"

he whispered your name so quietly, that you barely overheard it. he still wasn't looking at you, ashamed of himself. this isn't who he wants to be. he doesn't want to be just a cruel monster that you'll eventually get sick of. he doesn't want to lose you because of this! 

"please… teach me how to be better…"

Wanted to share a bit about Jeritza and this cool art (not mine, but I couldn’t find whose it was).

Despite being the Death Knight, working for those who slither, kidnapping a young girl, and having a thirst for blood strong enough to rival Nosferatu, he’s actually just a sweet little dude. He likes his sister, cats, and murder, which is even funnier when coupled with the fact that his sister is the sweetest gem of a person in all of Fódlan.

He hides behind the exterior of a nihilistic craving death and his voice is so monotone and silky smooth it feels like conversing with a serial killer, and while it’s true he craves death, he also has an immense love for his sister that he doesn’t even really try to hide. She’s the ONLY one who can turn him away from those who slither, she’s the ONLY person Jeritza won’t allow his Death Knight personality to kill. Their conversations in Three Hopes, especially, really touched me.

In short, I think he’s a fantastic character who takes the trope of a silent, brooding, heartless killer and reverses it with a surprisingly sweet caramely center. Plus, he likes sweets just because Mercedes likes them.

There’s a ton I didn’t cover here, but I just wanted my appreciation for this pale murder boy to be known

I'm like, whomst???

"You know, Ortega. The guy in Three Houses who hides his face with a mask and talks weird."
