akira shepard! my one true love of 2017 

akira’s a mostly-paragon-with-a-dash-of-renegade soldier. she grew up with her single mother in japan, and to give her mother everything she deserves and sort of redeem herself from such a piss poor academic career, she enlisted in the alliance fresh out of high school, despite going against her mother’s wishes. throughout her career, she’s found her closest friends in joker, kaidan, garrus, thane, liara, and james. although she does her very best to get along with all her crew to make sure morale and efficiency are at their peak on the normandy.

she and garrus do want kids! somewhere down the line. but first comes meeting each others’ families, visiting each others’ homes, spending a good long vacation with one another, sorting out careers. it’s a long road to that family that garrus had always wanted but they get there :)

akira is quite musical! she plays the piano fairly well and some trumpet. although she gets embarrassed easily, she plays piano for garrus at his request (he loves it, although at first he was super weirded out seeing all those fingers splay over the keys like that. what a weird instrument a piano is, he thought....)

akira has a lot to lose on the normandy and back on earth, so of course failure is something that she (and i’m sure any other shepard) struggles with a LOT. she’ll sacrifice sleep, eating, personal time to make sure her crew is happy, to make sure the normandy is a well-oiled machine, to make sure she saves as many lives as she can, to make sure her mother is safe and comfortable back on earth. 

AND i do have other ME ocs!! i have a stubborn human soldier named halley

a turian soldier who always carries snacks in his armored compartments named alexis (they’re a couple!), along with a krogan who get migraines from entering rage mode during battle named pikko... pikko is not actually his name, he got it from spending time with a turian little girl who he rescued :’)

i still haven’t drawn alexis and pikko yet, but i love them..... i will have to draw them soon!

!! i have this downloaded on my xbox but i haven't played it yet. Is it fun? :o

It's actually pretty fun! I’m struggling with the gameplay because my internet connection isn’t the best, but here are some features I’ve encountered so far:

- Fully customizable characters. You can choose just any background (so you don’t HAVE to be just Starfleet). - Fully customizable uniforms. Your ship is customizable too! - Your crew is customizable, not only in appearance, but their abilities as well. You encounter NPCs that can either join your crew or train one of your crew members, if you’re out of space but want their skills. - The flight mechanics are siiiiick, and the backgrounds are so pretty! if the map areas are too intimidating and you can’t find where to go, you can click a little button and it automatically charts a course to take you there. - There is a chat box. I don’t interact but people seem pretty active! - The missions are set up to feel like ‘episodes’; when you start a new mission a title comes up, complete with cut scenes and dialogue options. Very interactive. The voice acting is kinda corny but I don’t mind it much lol. - In your first mission you fight Klingons and Borg and it just feels like cheesy good fun. I feel bad for my crew though! These kids just graduated, why are they fighting Borg?? Let them relax! Ha’an is still tired from finals!

Mostly I am dying during the space battles. I find it hard to maneuver and coordinate my attacks at the same time. :’(

SAME it was so touching to hear her again and just see lil bits from the original trilogy.. :') makes me super excited to see what more tiny things they added! i know i'm gonna be a mess when this game finally mentions shepard 😭
