fg365yoga day 1&2 from beginning of December (the pinker sweater) to today January 1st!! I can see and feel some improvement! Can't wait to see where I'm at in 6months and a year!!
#fg365yoga day 31: Crow Pose. I braved the bitter cold to escape my full house today. I never seem to do as well when other people are in the room, it breaks my focus. I was able to at least get up onto my arms without the block today!!! I wasn't able to draw my legs in as much as I do with the block, but I wanted to see how I did without it- and I'm happy with it, even though it's not perfect :) "it's not about being good, it's about being good to yourself" ✌🏻️💜 #yoga #yogagoals #yogachallenge #crowpose
Hello! Sorry to bother you, but could you explain what FG365yoga is, and where I might be able to find it? Thank you, happy New Year!
Hi!
FG365YOGA was a yoga challenge that I created in January of 2015. The intent was for people to consistently practice the various poses in the challenge through the year (thus the 365) so they could see improvement in their practice by the end of the year.
Needless to say, I don’t think anyone actually made it through the whole year, but I revived it in December for people, old and new, to give the poses a try so they could have a picture of where they are now so they can see their progress in the future.
You can find the challenge here. (and there is a link to it at the top of my blog, as well)
Anyone who is inclined to carry on with the challenge in 2016, or begin it anytime in 2016, is welcome to do so! If you’ll tag it #FG365YOGA, I will check out your posts. If you have any questions about any of the poses, feel free to ask me.
You can also check the #FG365YOGA tag for videos explaining each pose in detail.
January 30th v. December 30th
Day 31 of FG365YOGA
For Day 31, you get to pick the pose! I hope you’ll try something you’ve never done before! Be adventurous! End the year and ring in the new year with some courage and bravery!
Here are some suggestions (but you don’t have to do any of these -- do what YOU WANT TO DO!)
Crow Pose:
Yoga handstands for beginners who are afraid of handstands:
Maybe a headstand:
Or a forearm stand:
Or maybe Wheel Pose:
Or Bird of Paradise (balance and flexibility)
or Compass Pose (hips)
or Cow Face Pose (shoulders)
or Bow Pose (back, shoulders, hips)
or Wild Thing Pose (heart opener)
or Hero/Reclined Hero Pose (hips)
Or ANY POSE YOU WANT TO TRY! It doesn’t matter if you do it perfectly, or if you fall out of it, just give it a try! You might surprise yourself! You might find something that you want to master and start practicing it so that this time next year you can DO IT.
We are so proud of everyone who has stuck with this challenge! You should be proud of yourselves, too! We really hope you’ve learned some new poses and will stick with yoga in 2016!
Namaste!!
FG365YOGA! I finished! Day #30 - Tree pose. On a tree. In the forest. (Do I get extra credit?)
