Unfortunate Fibrella

Every time I go to SM Olongapo, I always look for a specific model of Fibrella umbrella that I lost, and has remained out of stock since last year at any SM store I visited. How I lost it? A lady who came out from COMELEC office is looking for her missing umbrella from the rack, irritated. Puzzled at her irritated look, I folded my umbrella and hesitantly put it in the same rack. So I went inside the office, left a memo, and when I got out, MY UMBRELLA IS MISSING! It took me only five minutes inside the office. I reviewed the CCTV and it's the same lady who took my umbrella (she has a tattoo on one of her legs). Enough with the backstory. A year passed and it's rainy season again. I tried several times to look for the same model but to no avail. Last June 1st, I went to SM San Fernando to try my luck and buy the same model I lost; unfortunately, still out of stock. So I felt obliged, I came a long way not to buy, so I got this usual Fibrella model (F0383) which I seldom use. The first time I used my new umbrella under the rain was last Thursday (June 9) during my trip to Baguio and suddenly the trigger switch won't close the umbrella despite many attempts. I have not dropped it nor did something else to this umbrella especially because it's new. Because of the need, I have to force it just to close and to enter a shop. On my way to the hotel I used it again. But when i press the trigger switch, the umbrella won't open. Since it is raining, I forced open my umbrella. I have no choice. Now I cant fold close my umbrella anymore no matter how hard i push the trigger switch and how hard i try to manually close it. I left it open outside the hotel overnight. The next day (June 10), we're going back to my hometown at Olongapo. BUT I CAN'T FOLD THE UMBRELLA. So I tried several times to force close it but still no luck. Since I can't bring home inside our vehicle an open umbrella WHICH IS REALLY TROUBLESOME, I have no choice but to damage the wire holding its skeleton just so I can close it. My dilemma now is, my umbrella is not working, which i just bought a week ago from SM San Fernando. Why is it defective? Probably I have a curse with umbrella but I am hoping that the manufacturers would honor it to warranty.
