since you're not finishing it, can you tell us how your hellcheer fic was supposed to end?

A lot of people have asked this! Sorry, I’m not comfortable revealing the end to a story instead of just finishing it. One day, if I do finish it, I wouldn’t want the ending callously thrown out there into the ether for anyone to see before they finish the story themselves. Stories are meant to be read and experienced.

And yes, my not finishing it leaves a gap in the experience, but out of the two options, that one is a gap I’m willing to leave. I wouldn’t feel right slapping a “I’m not finishing this, so here’s where I was going with it” on any fic I write (that’s why I try to finish them all) and leaving that kind of gap with a little bandaid ending-summary on it. Sorry!

I’ve been patiently waiting for someone to notice the snippets about Bunny’s past, or his internal intelligence that he actively suppresses to deal with his traumas. In my opinion, behind Richard’s biased and shallow observation of Bunny, Bunny was actually a very smart individual. To me it was as clear as day that his behavior is symptomatic of deeper trauma. I’m stripping away Richard’s bias and adding emotional and mental nuance to tell Bunny’s story 💝

In lamb to the slaughter, I wanted to reframe Bunny as the tragic figure that he is. It’s why I started writing this fic.

But you will also get a look into Henry’s past and how he got his scars (🃏). I’m also attempting to write in the “secrets” of the book that were glossed over.

You’ll find out very soon who James is— I hope it makes you cry ❣️

Hi!!!! I just finished reading “A Whiter Shade of Pale” and had to come tell you how much I enjoyed it!! I remember seeing that tumblr post and love the way you’ve conceptualized it!! Stiles being older and wiser and a little bit bolder works SO well, and with hindsight he can make a whole new series of choices that allow him to dictate the currents of time.

I loved this last chapter! As school activities are returning, it has been difficult for me (as well as Harry) not to have Severus' constant presence while reading. Having half the chapter without Sev made me miss him. But honestly, that's good for the story.

A romance story needs to have more plot elements besides the main couple to be an interesting and believable story. And longing makes their moments sweeter and more intense.

It's beautiful and distressing to see Severus' fragility. I want to hug him and comfort him, and I'm glad Harry is doing just that! I love lying down, wrapped in the sheets and sighing reading scenes like these. I hope there are many more scenes of the two offering love to each other. Oh, please, give me more of that!

There are still insecurities and misunderstandings between them that have not yet been put on the table, it is possible to feel this as a tension in the air. But I hope things will be clarified in due time.

Another point that's getting me is how Severus is dealing internally with Harry's relationship with Ginny. When things explode and feelings can no longer be denied, will Severus have a crisis of insecurity and paranoia regarding Ginny?

DEAR ANNA!! So glad you liked this week's chapter!! I agree with you that Severus not being in half the chapter, only from afar, was odd and we miss him. But that's what Harry's feeling too! Observe from afar, until the moment they can spend time together again!

Poor Severus, his core ideas are still playing with him and it will take a looooong while to heal from them. Thank Merlin Harry is now used to reading him and can offer him exactly what he needs.

Don't worry about Severus, Ginny and Harry. When Harry takes action and decides to cut things off, Severus will be there too. And you'll have first row seats to that!!

Hey you! I'm here to add my two cents to ease your mind, because it's my god-given power to hype people up!

First of all, your fics are amazing and I'm sure many can attest to that. And not to speak for others, but I'm pretty confident that people who follow you and your writing are doing so because they love your style. And I'm one of them. Hell, if you decided to write 12k words of Sevika knitting I'd be there to devour that shit in a heartbeat!

Is 12k long? Of course it is. But we the humble horny readers are capable (or not) of adjusting our reading schedule accordingly. Again, not to speak for others (I'm lightly joking because humor is life)! I know I'll read it in one sitting when it comes out, especially if the words "Sevika" and "smut" are in it! hehehe But I'm pretty sure that a 12k fic is much harder for the writer with all the editing and the pacing and the keeping track of everything in it. So take your time, be patient, flesh it out however you like, write for whatever you've planned and what YOU want to see in your fic, and how YOU want to see it.

At the end of the day, and something that I try to remind myself too, your fics are YOUR fics, and you're writing for yourself first and for what YOU want to see. The fact that you're putting them out in the world is amazing, and we the like-minded people can only thank you for that and the representation you're providing!

So, release it if and when you feel like it, make it how long or short you want it, and we'll be there to ramble on about it! :)

First of all good for you and bless you for hyping people up. I think that's absolutely fantastic of you and I'm sure all the hype-receivers are as thrilled and appreciative as I am.

OMG Sevika knitting, I'd pay to see that. But I don't think I'll be adding that to my WIP/planned fics list. Not yet at least. 😅 But oh my goodness, thank you for the compliments! 🥰

Editing this now almost 13k sucker is definitely kicking my butt and not the good kind of kicking (like from Sevika). I really do appreciate you (and all the others who have shown support) being so understanding of what it takes from the writer's side. I imagine being a writer yourself you can relate to some of this. But I REALLY appreciate all the kind words and support and providing a realistic perspective.

For someone who really enjoys writing... with words... I'm definitely struggling to find words to thank you enough for this kind message. Hopefully I've gotten the message across!
