I'm Meme (she/they), a fic writer and avid reader who goes from obsession to obsession.
I'm currently fully into The Last of Us (love those adopted parent-daughter relationship!) and Harry Potter and Snarry. Severus Snape is and always will be my favourite character of all time. If you can't accept that, then kindly leave. Also, Elementary is my comfort show and has been for over a decade. I love writing about Sherlock and Joan!
But I've also written for many fandoms, and read about several other!
I love being part of the fandom, enjoy reading (and sometimes writing) meta, and use that meta in my fics. I also love reading and commenting as much as I can, since as a fic writer I sympathise with the feeling of a new comment on a story.

As I am organizing and writing my thesis, I thought I would share the template I usually follow in order to make my academic writing experience more bearable. I made this myself, learning what worked best for me through (much) trial and error.
I know writing a big paper can feel extremely daunting, but this may be able to help you relax a bit. Once you “fill out” this “template” with all of the information it requires, you’ll realize that all you have to do is write a few paragraphs, weave in some quotes, and you’re good to go! How I Organize my Research Papers Before I Write Them:
• Formatting: Headings, pagination, and a (creative) title.
• Thesis: I try to write out a thesis (just one sentence) so I have some foundation to build upon. Usually my theses change or develop as I write—sometimes I change the thesis entirely. Either way, it’s good to at least have some semblance of what you want to write about at the start.
• Organization Outline: I plot out the main topic of each paragraph that way I stay focused while I write. Also that way I can arrange the paragraphs in an order that works most efficiently before I even write the paper. This saves me time instead of trying to blend paragraph topics together in an unnatural way; or not having any idea what some paragraphs should talk about. Here is usually a great place to think up topic sentences you can use later, too!
• Prompt: here is where I type out my prompt for my paper, either given by my professor or one I came up with on my own. I like to keep my prompt closer to the top so I can refer to it throughout my writing to make sure I’m still on the same track.
• Brainstorming: underneath my prompt, I write my initial thoughts—am I arguing? Am I analyzing? What do I want to research? What would make a good idea to focus on? Things like that.
• Research/Academia: After I search through academic and peer reviewed journals, I paste their citation references in this section. That way I can make sure I have enough research (if there is a required minimum), and I can divide my research into categories that I want to address in my paper (so it doesn’t feel too heavy handed in one area only).
• Academic Quotes: I pick out the quotes and research I need to support my thesis here, making sure to organize them in accordance with my citations so I don’t lose track of who wrote what.
• Primary Source Quotes: Here is where I put all of the quotes I think pertain to my thesis from the primary source (book/poem/play/etc). Sometimes I divide the quotes into subcategories, or even color code them, that way I know more smoothly where everything is.
• Works Cited: Finally, I keep a running tally of all of the citations I use so I don’t end up accidentally deleting them (guess how I learned this…ㅜㅜ)

And that’s it! Now you just have to write! Everything is organized and ready to go. Start as slow as you need, write that first paragraph, sticking to the topic you assigned to it. Take breaks, come back, and re-read it. Save different drafts if you need to, that way you can always go back and salvage whatever you suddenly need. Enjoy the writing process as much as you can. You are contributing to the academic realm of knowledge and ambition, after all!
the first two chapters of Prisoner of Azkaban are actually incredibly interesting if you reread them knowing the entire plot and the ending.
let's start with Wendelin the Weird.
it's essentially a fragment of the lore, a passage taken straight from a history textbook. on the one hand, yes, it's a direct piece of world-building.
on the other hand, what do we actually see? from the Muggles' point of view, it looked as though they were executing the guilty. but the point is that if it really was a witch, she wouldn't burn. the people who actually suffered were those who had no magical abilities at all.
so right from the beginning we get this theme of innocent people being punished, while those who are actually responsible walk away unscathed.
and, at the same time, the idea that reality is nothing like what it seems at first glance.
then there's Aunt Marge.
Aunt Marge breeds bulldogs. she breeds dogs. she raises these beasts that are openly hostile towards Harry, that pose a danger to him, that Harry is afraid of because she used to set them on him... just because she could.
much later, in Order of the Phoenix, Severus even asks about one of those dogs, but that's beside the point.
what's much more interesting is the way she talks about breeding. she argues that bad traits are inherited. that if the bitch is bad, then her litter will be just the same.
doesn't that remind you of another dog?
one who comes from a family with, let's say, highly questionable beliefs, values and preferences. one whose guilt everyone accepted because it wasn't difficult to believe.
after all, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
in the end, it's hard to say how much of Sirius's story was nature versus nurture, based on everything we know about him. and yet.
naturally, she also brings Harry's parents back into the narrative, something that didn't really happen in Chamber of Secrets. and, in effect, all of this ties into Harry's eventual reunion with his parents' friends.
and then there's the fact that this is the first and only time Harry runs away from home.
at roughly the same time, though a little earlier, someone else escapes from his own prison. someone who had also run away from home during his school years. and it is in this very book that the two of them are reunited.
after running away, Harry thinks that, at this point, it doesn't really matter anymore. he's already broken the law, he's almost certainly become a criminal, and now he'll have to stay on the run, live like a homeless person, and never return to Hogwarts.
which is, incidentally, exactly what the other fugitive is doing.

SUMMARY: The Fallout with Ron and Hermione after Harry's breakup with Ginny.
“Don’t you see she deserves better than me? Wouldn’t she be better off with someone who is actually whole and loves her completely?”
“That’s fucking rubbish, and you know it!” Ron spat, his voice trembling with a deep, personal betrayal. “You’re just a coward. You can face a dark wizard, but you can’t handle a girl loving you as deeply as she does.”
“I’m not in love with her anymore, Ron!” Harry yelled, his hands curling into tight fists at his sides. “Don’t you get it?”
The words rang out, loud and stark, bouncing off the stone walls. Nobody moved. Harry could feel dozens of eyes boring into his skin; the weight of their judgment, the shock of their silence.
Ron stepped closer, his voice dropping dangerously low.
“We all have to make sacrifices.”
“Ron!” Hermione cried out, standing up and grabbing Ron’s forearm. “That’s incredibly unfair! Would you really want your sister to be in a loveless relationship? Harry has been through enough—”
“Don’t you dare defend him, 'Mione!”
